Disable Universal Clipboard β Stops clipboard syncing with your other Apple devices without disabling Handoff.
For the Mission Control improvements tweak, you can now navigate between windows with arrow keys and press Return to bring one to the front.

The rest:
Middle-click a folder in the Finder sidebar to open it in a new tab.
Archive old screenshots automatically
Prevent accidentally dragging text β Sometimes you accidentally drag text and it creates a .textClipping file. This prevents that.
Some nice Finder improvements:
Reopen last closed Finder tab with β§βT
Paste image as file in Finder
Pressing βV in Finder with an image on the clipboard now saves it as a file. Normally, this does nothing.

And the reason I wrote the parser, to fix a 10+ year old macOS bug - "Put Back" being broken when programmatically trashing multiple files: github.com/sindresorhus...
I know I know. Super niche. But I was writing a parser (like one does), and thought; why not make an example app for it.

If you are a Setapp user, a rating in the Setapp app is always appreciated π
The app requires macOS 26, but you can get the last macOS 15 compatible version for free on my website: sindresorhus.com/shortcutie#o...
I'm excited to share that my Shortcutie app is now available on Setapp
It provides 70+ powerful extra actions for the Shortcuts app on macOS

The upside down thing was likely a macOS 26 bug. Happened in one of my apps too.
I donβt get why Anthropic hasnβt used Claude Code to rewrite their bloated Electron app as native. Should be much easier than a C compiler.
Iβm not stopping. Iβll keep making apps the good way.
I just think itβs soon going to become more of a passion thing than a real business opportunity in general. Which is fine. Itβs always been passion for me anyway, not the money.
It will feel more like restoring an old car than running a startup
So being first isnt the edge. The edge is taste, trust, distribution, and going deeper than whats obvious from a quick glance at the UI. Surface ideas get cloned. Depth is harder.
First-mover advantage used to buy you years. Now it buys you a head start at best. U can spend months understanding a niche problem and building something thoughtful, and someone else can recreate a decent version in days just by copying whatβs visible, and sell it for cheaper.
I have never seen this many clones of my apps. I guess app dev really is over.
A lot of good updates to Ink (React in the terminal) recently:
- Synchronized update (a lot less flicker!)
- React concurrent rendering
- Kitty keyboard protocol support (better keyboard handling)
- IME cursor support
- Improved performance with caching

You can also quickly share the result. You get a nice image like this:
I'm not adding more apps unless they are very popular, but you could achieve it yourself if the app supports a custom URL scheme by using the "transform URL" feature in a custom rule in Velja.
My internet speed testing app Speediness now shows the speed live while testing.

DS_Store Inspector
Inspect .DS_Store files - the files Finder leaves in every folder with lots of metadata.

Forgot to post about Supercharge updates before xmas:
It can now automatically quit or hide inactive apps after a configurable timeout. (macOS 26 only)

And the rest:
- Block the Music app from auto-launching when you press media keys or connect devices.
- Prevent accidental βW window closes.

More than coding
I don't... Just a "app support" label in Gmail.
6 years, but majority of it is in the past 3 years.
If anyone wonder what it takes to maintain some popular apps; I just replied to my 10 000 support email.
To be clear, the promotion is active now even though it may not yet be Friday for everyone.
