So to say that lasers aren't good at damaging armor just doesn't make sense in my head.

Because in Stellaris, it's the opposite. Kinetic weapons do bonus damage to shields. Laser weapons do more damage to armor. This makes sense to me. Armor is a physical barrier. Physical materials are subject to overheating; expansion, deformation etc.

I play this little idle game about a spaceship fighting enemies and there's this mechanic that irks me. You start with laser weapons and then you run into 'armored' enemies, and you have to unlock a kinetic weapon, because lasers deal 1/4 damage to armor. And it just don't work in my mind.

So I did some digging, and apparently the lift was destroyed by a lightning strike in 1994 and it wasn't worth it to repair. Super interesting!

Also found out that the chair I learned on (Lodge Chair) was replaced the year before I started skiing there.

So I randomly saw on FB that someone was rescued off the mountain I skied on yesterday. I was looking up the trail they were on and noticed that the trail map shows the chair lifts in the ski area.

Including a chair lift I've never heard of.

Okay so I didn't mention it because at the time, it didn't seem like a big deal. I did fall a grand total of 4 times. But there were no ill effects, so I just carried on with my day.

I'm so incredibly grateful that I live in an area where this is possible. There are mountains a 45 minute drive away, with reasonable lift tickets.

Went skiing today! Had a lot of fun, and I'm improving. I did a few blue squares. Bf said I can "confidently do blue square runs" and I corrected him. Not confidently, not yet lol. But he says I'm doing well!

I think it's time for an official lesson though. Still; having so much fun!
