Played a lot of FFXVI this weekend. Very fun game, looks gorgeous, runs great on the PS5. Combat feels good and has good variety. The story is hit and miss but overall it’s engaging.

I’ve also tried to “train my cat” to run a bit with me. He’s kinda into it, maybe after many months of working together we can figure it out. He loves going outside for walks, it’ll just depend if he can tolerate staying focused on the route and not stop to bird watch every minute!

Maybe this time around I’ll make that actually happen!

It’s been over 10 years since I was a serious runner, but I’ve been back on the grind for a few weeks. I miss the mental benefits from the 13+ mi runs as much as I miss the physical benefits of being fit. While I managed to do a 26mi run back then, I never actually ran an official marathon.

Yeah I agree. The past few games I’ve played on the Steam Deck, and it’s made it hard for me to get into Zelda. I like the feel and performance of the steam deck better.

This is really cool! Side projects can be such a great source of refreshment. You get to break away from familiar tech and the other constraints that come with work.

Did the video game dev community make it here yet? Anyone using git as their primary version control with UE5 on a project that isn’t tiny? If so how is the experience? Any traps?
