Thankfully theyβre all on Twitter. Not much of that energy over here from what Iβve seen
NEW podcast! I share my in-depth thoughts on PokΓ©mon Pokopia. We also talk about Xbox's Project Helix, Sony backing off on PC ports, some rumours I heard, and how awesome Denshattack is!
Plus, this one opens with a pretty wild personal story someone shared with me: www.patreon.com/posts/152693...
Partner in a venture capital firm that backs various AI companies. Not great.
Well, this is the only first party game to do it so far.
I personally find it hard to believe that any of that is genuine. It strikes me as cynical, bottom-of-the barrel content production to me because I struggle to comprehend people legitimately being that pathetic over video game marketing.
This should have been a huge physical release for the UK. Instead, they print a small amount of game key cards and call it a day. I genuinely think that Nintendo and other companies are leaving a huge amount of money on the table by tiptoeing away from the physical market here.
Pokopia is like the perfect ADHD game. No matter what I get distracted by it is equally important as everything else I could be doing
Peak peak peak peak
"I think the LLM is conscious" makes a lot more sense when you realize a lot of people don't grasp the interiority of other people.
If you view other people as a series of inputs and utilities, it makes a lot of sense that you would see inert code awaiting your prompt as conscious.
The chart asks "what type of gamer are you"? New school : Highguard Old school: Concord Retro: LawBreakers Ancient: Evolve Pre Historic: Battleborn
F-Zero reference???
It would be insane if they couldnβt find a home for potentially the next Yakuza but almost every big publisher seems like itβs on fire right now and laying people off left and right.
"NetEase allegedly made the decision after discovering that the project needed an additional Β₯7 billion ($44.4 million) in funding to reach completion."
turns out it's expensive to make a Yakuza game from scratch when you're at a new company and don't have access to all the old assets anymore, huh
what the fuck
Nintendo sent me a box of Pokopia stuff this week. Cute!
Modern as in the word modern.
I did try put in a word for you guys. Maybe one day
I wish I could have gotten the one WorkBoy prototype into a museum. Alas, I did try...
People are surprised about this? Modern Call of Duty has always been a tool of the military industrial complex. It's known that the US military has vetoed entire plots proposed for past games and that they have had a lot of influence on how those campaigns were done.
Saddened to announce I was affected by the recent Polygon layoffs. Though my time there was short, it was an incredible experience with a truly lovely bunch of people.

I am working on something that will be so fucking cool for the oldschool SEGA and especially ToeJam & Earl fans. Unearthing some interesting things.
I don't know how anyone can read this article and think that this technology should be allowed to exist.
Well, they were right about that
My wife is from the town the final level of the demo is based on so it was very fun guy us. Level starts in the neighbouring big city and evokes the vibe of the local tram system, goes to the amusement park that overlooks the town, before steamroling her town on the way to Sakurajima volcano.
That's really cool, Chris!
It has been discussed endlessly, but at what point do governments actually talk about the power of the Google monopoly, and do something to protect industries and jobs?
Koei Tecmo is investing in conversational AI for characters/dialog with the intent to use it in their games. Disappointing.
I have now played Denshattack and itβs even more fun than I expected. Holy crap.
Finally, more people are discovering how cool Denshattack looks
