A flip flo is like a little tap at the end of the catheter tube, it doesn’t need to be attached to any bags and allows you great freedom, you still hold urine in your bladder and then open the tap when you need to pee! Not everyone can use them depending on their condition, but I have found it great
No issues at all, initially when learning to live with it, I found it a lot to get used to, but once it’s kept impeccably clean, the tube turned every day and once I got onto using a flip flo and got off the bags to keep my bladder as healthy as possible, it’s been a breeze, just a new routine!!

I’m ok thank you, all the urinary problems started back in 2016 not being able to pee!! I also have EDS, Pots and a very messed up back and being investigated for MCAS too!
Hope you’re hanging in there though, life with chronic illness and urinary retention is no fun!!
Fellow Neurogenic Bladder and DSD friend here!!! I asked for my cause too and my urologist is putting it down to my Dysautonomia. I was never offered a stimulator (not sure why) but went through all types of catheter until I was fitted with a Suprapubic Cath 2 years ago. It’s been brilliant for me!
