Seeing Mark Briscoe in the ring with FTR again... also quite emotional.

Symbol of American decline.
It remains very funny to me that 'Monsterverse' is the only other cinematic connected universe really left standing alongside the MCU (DC doesn't count yet I don't think). I suppose now I can watch the second season of Monarch.
He feels like them finally getting a character right after slightly flubbing it with Hiddleston and Skarsgard in previous films. It looks like he's the only returning character in the next one which is interesting.
The human cast was also probably the best of these films, they've kept fun ones like Brian Tyree Henry's podcaster and Rebecca Hall and her daughter, but the addition of Dan Stevens as a kaiju veterinarian was great.
There was just so much cool and/or stupid stuff in this, Kong getting a robot hand, an evil Ice Godzilla, an evil Kong, a baby Kong, Godzilla spending most of his time becoming pink for some reason, Mothra coming back. It was ridiculous, but it was great.
It's my Birthday weekend so I'm treating myself to some monster movies, starting tonight with the most recent American Monsterverse flick 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' which was incredibly stupid, perhaps the stupidest movie ever, but of course I really enjoyed it for that.
Just noticed Iโve had one of my socks on inside out all day.
$200 a barrel is misleading. You're not just paying for the container, but also the valuable crude oil inside of it.
I like the staginess of it too, it's not quite on the level of Joe Wright's Anna Karenina when it comes to that, but it's not far off. I do think he's an underrated director, I think he gets lumped in with like Tom Hooper but he's much more interesting.
Started Mussolini: Son Of The Century last night, it's quite funny seeing Mussolini of all people Fleabag it to the cameras but it is well done and a different take on the historical drama. The music is excellent.
Bodo/Glimt should win the Champo, do a turbo-Leicester.
So much for English dominance in the Champions League, they've all been at the most OK, but generally totally crap this week.
Biggest miscalculations from Kinsky since Fitzcarraldo.
He's nowhere near as much of a dick as people think he is!
3x speed is ridiculous, 1.5x max, and only on the iPad, not on headphones.
The fact that there are 2 new buzzy TV shows about College professors having affairs on campus (Vladimir and Rooster) show that Prestige TV really has replaced the novel in America's cultural landscape, in all the worst ways as well as the good ones.
And yet again great music, Turnstile and Geese.
I have no idea where the hell the final season is going to go. I imagine more Russia stuff and Yas' turn into Epstein shit? But knowing Industry it could be completely unexpected.
Finished Series 4 tonight, really good ending, I like that Harper does have some morals. She is such a great character.
(In fact you can see me on TV amongst others applauding the break)
Was at the game today and very pleased not to hear any boos!
America thought they could just do Venezuela again, but instead they just installed a leader in Iran whose dad they just killed. Nice one lads.
Haven't posted about this much because it's so fucked, it's so bad.
I think I stayed in the same New York hotel as Henry and Whitney back in 2010.
The Daft Punk song in Episode 7 was so good.
Starting off my last week of being โmid-30sโ with the magic of the cup, Leeds Vs Norwich. El Farkeco.
