I live in a suburb where there's medium(ish) density housing being built, subdividing blocks etc. There isn't much green space for those without a backyard. On-street parking makes it dangerous for pedestrians/cyclists. Not a NIMBY, we need better planning.

GST is largely redistributed to the states so it will have little affect to the Federal Government. They should however receive extra income tax on the increased company profits of the Oil companies.

I think some, quite reasonable frustration, comes from the fact that federally Labor a large majority and still seem timid to change. Opportunities don't come up that often to make real change and Labor need to be bold rather than placating the Lib/Nat coalition.

Makes a mockery of "mutual obligation". If the government wants more unemployed why should the unemployed have to jump through hoops to receive benefits?

Alex Antic and former Lib Leader David Speirs aggressively recruited from former Family First & Evangelical Churches. The stated aim was to take over branches to secure candidates & push the part to a very conservative platform.

Personally I am not too fussed as long as it isn't an hour or more. My other half gets very cranky if he is kept waiting , but he used to always be late.

In cases you were wondering . . . this is a photo that annoyed Pete Hegseth so much because he thought it was "unflattering" so he got the photographer barred. I encourage all of you to use it as often as possible.

I was bought up to NEVER be late, it is the height of bad manners. So yes I will often recce where I am going the first time to make sure I'm not late.

Britain and the US had a special bond. This war might have changed that Many nations, including Australia, claim to have a special relationship with the United States. Britain, and some in Europe, are finding out that's no longer the case.

Apparently we all have the responsibility to make the UK/USA or AUS/USA Relationship work. Where is the USA's responsibility in this. Coercive control does not make a relationship!

Fairly sure you can thank Alex Antic for recruiting members & subsequently candidates with these views.

Not just bike riding, we measure so much activity. How many steps, how many laps, how fast. Bike riding, walking, swimming, tennis, whatever, we can do this just for fun.

What does a real estate developer know about Nuclear Weapons technology? Who is the source of his information? Do they know what they are talking about. Spinning wheels.

Didn't Palmer recently say he had no intention of getting into politics again? What policy is threatening his wealth to make him go again?

"If the public must pay their fair share to see the Twelve Apostles, why don’t multinational fossil fuel companies have to pay more to drill for gas in the waters around them?” writes Louise Morris, Advocate at The Australia Institute.

I get why the former PM got off (technicality) - the PM takes the advice of the Public Service. In reality he TOLD the Dept Head what he wanted as policy and they complied even though it was not lawful. The PS should not have implemented the policy request. It is disgusting.

Freight is also being disrupted by road closures due to extensive flooding, which exacerbates the problem. Supply line disruptions are not rare, just worse at the moment because some people are greedy & thoughtless.
