the cool thing about sapkowski is that he writes like he is grumpy that he is telling a fantasy story, and his characters all resent being in one

I have this loose idea that it’s kind of a golden age for gaming objects as the audience ages out of playing games regularly but still wants to participate. unfortunately it’s undercut by economic precariousness, but people are still showing up for games stuff that looks cool and thoughtfully made

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the comic which is a milestone yes but doesn’t feel like much of one, as the comic is still discussed daily and the genre can’t seem to escape its orbit.

(The comic is cool, this has nothing to do with its quality)

I enjoy superhero comic books and believe them to be a dazzling and still underestimated field but it would go a long way if everyone involved could go a couple years without bringing up the dark knight returns

The toughest thing about solo is that there are missions that give you 2-3 objectives to do _in a single run_, which can feel impossibly hard if you have the bad luck of running into other players all the time but if you pull it off? thrilling as hell
