It’s 80s band night - for those who don’t know I’m a #keyboard player for the #band 80s replay getting gig ready for next year now as we’ve been auditioning new vocalists. What’s your favourite #80s song ?
We then had a 12 Day platform. This is when we showed the film for 12 Days before any of the other cinemas in the country General release. We was Rammed. I remember different celebs like Ronan Keating and even Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Aniston came to watch it.
All the screens are allocated to different competitions, Crew, Celebs, Like if you win a ticket to the premiere you're most likely to be in one of the competition screens. or a Sponsorship screen.
We had snow machines on the roof. It was shown in 5 of the 9 cinemas. What people don't realise is they have the main premiere screen, the cast don't actually watch the films. they do press and talks then go on to the next publicity meeting. I remember meeting Orlando bloom in the lift.
I arrived just after lunch to carnage of cables and tv stuff. Christmas singing, and lots of fans watched as I wondered down the red carpet in my Uniform with whispers of "Who's he?" as they waited for Hours to see celebs and stars of the film. It was a weird feeling just wondering up past security.

I can't believe 20 years ago on November 17th 2004 I was one of the three projectionists who put on the London Premiere of The Polar Express!! - it will be a memory I'll cherish forever because Leicester Square was transformed over to the snow and train with a bridge. 20 YEARS!
