I kinda want to show this off actually, but a) putting my art somewhere public is scary in this day and age of the internet and b) it's a pretty spoilery scene for book two if you can guess what you're looking at.

Sometimes I get into a big detailed pen and ink thing and am like oh yeah. I'm good at this actually.
Writing is like 80% walking around coming up with it and 20% feeling like Sisyphus in front of my computer and the 20% feels like 80%
glad I got out of Iowa when I did, I guess :/
Seriously! If we're going to insist on changing our clocks twice a year, we should at the very least be able to properly adjust to that before being expected to be functional humans :(
I think it's patently unfair that I went to bed at a normal (for me) time and yet my body still wants the extra hour of sleep that DST robbed me.
Yes, hello, is that God? Yeah, hi. I have a complaint. You gave me this brain thatβs designed for finding berries and avoiding lions and now people are βjust circling backβ to see if we can βmove the needleβ on βkey initiativesβ? NONE of those things are berries.
Have been sooooooo sick the past few weeks but I was finally tattooing again last week and had the opportunity to do some awesome work. Soooo much fun
My apologies for no alt text on this one folksβIβve been dead online due to time constraints. So just trying to fit this post in fast

Image of Jacob Wysocki screaming with poorly edited text that says "you are AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL."
YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW YOUR FAVORITE THINGS. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW BAD AND ITS OK. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN TRY DIFFERENT MEDIUMS. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW YOUR FAVES FUCKING NASTY. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WI
We donβt talk enough about how morally depraved the tech industry turned out to be. Every single ounce of their self-regarding statements of values was an outright lie.
Blanck Mass is one of the bands I will just straight up buy albums from, sight-unseen (or whatever the aural equivalent is). Thus far this approach hasn't failed me. (Though: this album's been in my bandcamp wishlist for ages, ever since I ran out of free listens of it, but that wishlist has HANDS.)
Today's noise is currently Noisia as remixed by the construction happening on my building, but I started out the day with this exceptionally-good score for a film I've never seen:

really wish one of the smaller indie venues that often hosts industrial bands in this town would actually publish a calendar of events somewhere on their website instead of me having to piece together what's happening via disparate socmed posts by the individual bands/event organizers -_-
This morning I realized I have a month of travel and concerts coming up and vowed to stop spending money on bullshit for awhile.
This afternoon I went to a record store, like a fucking dumbass.
writing difficult, challenging work means getting reviews from people who don't understand it. it means having people take offense at you. it means collective review scores in the low-to-mid 3 range.
that's just part of the prospect. if it gets universal acclaim, it didn't actually push boundaries.
extremely colorful painty sketch of a pretty androgynous figure from the shoulders up, howling off to the side & baring fangs as they vomit up some kind of black iridescent tentacle substance
wanted to see what kind of colorful experimental fuckery i could get up to outside of ~enhanced~ headspace, so i spent today dicking around with a thing i started as venting yesterday & turned into one of my ocs having a Time bringing out their eldritch familiar Thingβ’

Organizing craft stuff today
Literally two days later and it almost made it to the top of my most played of my phone music this month
Image of a board screwed to a metal plate showing a power line with a cord coming off it on stark black and white, there is a gold pattern lines across the image and the image is on a white painted background on the board
now seems like a good time to post my new piece

y'know, I often jokingly give system of a down credit for my radicalization, not without merit, but mdfmk played a pretty big part in that too, and earlier.
Actually, wait; this track is 25 yrs old this year & more relevant than ever. Here's MDFMK & "Β©ontrolΒΏ" ("control")
"β¦Do you know who owns & controls the station you're watching?!
Does the truth you know rely on its funding?!
The revolution will be synthesized!
The revolution will be synthesized!"
The landlord has started work on the roof + the weird inner "courtyard" of our building (it's like a glorified ventilation shaft with a skylight) and boy howdy does the building need it but I am not a fan of trying to work while my house shakes around me -_-
I get that there was a pushback against edgy content for edginess sake, but I think we pivoted too far into respectability and I need horror that isn't afraid of being banned in several countries. I need you guys to get a little bit more daring with it. I require a healthy level of bad taste.
Photo taken from a passenger car window showing a man wearing full camo biking along side the road. the bike is towing a dead deer, indicating the man is a hunter. in the background there is a burger king parking lot wherein a man is throwing up next to a car.
once and a while i like to share my favorite photo of all time
