Windows XP was the pinnacle
Iโve been getting some pings from my status monitoring service that a whack of things are running REAL slow (part of my sanity checks).... welp, looks like AWS is having a rough day
Having kids will also do this for you.
For example:
Today I feel sick, buuut, I'm not sick AND also cleaning up my sick children's barf every 30 mins (win)
It is pretty cool that way!
Write some instructions and ..... code! :)
Today, I crossed of an item on my bucket list:
Creating custom scripting language for a client ๐
It's nothing crazy, a simple macro language that addresses some special quirks in the windows/doors world.
Made a little compiler and runtime with ~1000 lines.
So fun!!
To be clear neither the excerpt IP, nor "Your public IP" are my IP address ๐
Why thank you Google :)
Yeah, it's pretty wild!
Other languages are so much more logical
Such good connecting music. I can still hear it!
It's like Lord of the Rings, but browsers
That's amazing!! ๐
My favorite is the smoothie in the jet engine ๐คฃ
It's the future :)
When you hire your first employee, you now have 2 sets of customers. Your employees and your business' customers.
Employees buy purpose, fulfilment and stability.
Customers buy your actual product.

You're a good dad @iamcoreyg.com
I think I saw that they're also using your 1:1 conversations in Messanger and WhatsApp to personalize as well ๐ฌ
I think S4 consulting would like to have a word with you...
๐ฏ this is hard to do well.
Although, I have to say, I highly value neutrally-delievered honesty. If you don't agree with me, I want to know. Say it nicely and let's hash it out or move on.
None of this "Oh, that's great" (actually thinks: what a garbage idea)
There's something special about being near calm water like that ๐
This is two in one week, who knows when we'll get hit ๐ฌ
For now ๐ซฅ
I recall something like that as well.
I think the general idea with small biz is to focus on one of the 5%'s rather than trying please everyone. When there aren't any more growth opportunities, you can go after those.
Customer input is almost always the answer
I've been using a spreadsheet for 5+yrs. My accountant and book keeper love it. And it's the low cost of... free!
Works amazing!
Do we really need Apple to create a new design language every 3yrs?
The current one works just fine thx!
I must be getting old...
I think you're right... and that's interesting!
Maybe the lesson is don't stay patiently (aka stuck on) something that isn't working, try something else.
I think there are just too many variables to make any piece of advice universal.
Even if someone is well meaning or somewhat similar to you. No one knows as much about your startup as you do. You've got to make the final call.
The only universal good advice I know comes in the form of proverbs ๐
๐ฌ almost there @mjwhansen.com!
All complex SQL queries will eventually grow into a undecipherable mess or be converted to procedural code.
