as a person who is aging, this was a horror I didn't expect or want to see in the article about the guys who fucked up the last thing they touched with no remorse or awareness

Ha, sorry if this complicates your unwinnable race assessment!
Happy to help! I wouldn't be on my way to 50 without it
Not my file but:

A screen shot with the header "2026 Academy Awards (Oscars)". Below that, it says "Your progress: 45/50 films watch"
I am going to make it through this list if it kills me
One was a janitor in a building with a Columia Records distributor. The distro would give him boxes of records to take home, so I spent a lot of childhood visits to their house looking for new music finds from the 60s
The other invented a type of welding that helped make US space travel possible.
@gonzeux.bsky.social
gah, had to skip that one in theaters because the last of the AMC shows are during the work day!!
I hate acronyms where the acronym is a word in the acronym. What do you mean the 'h' in HIRE stands for hire?
Yeah, an unavoidable portion of my daily commute is going up one of three long and steep (but not quite DD-eligible) hills. I was a non-assist cyclist exclusively for ~15 years, and there's no gear range that would let me show up at work not looking like a mess between like April and October
oh wow, this is really exciting news! Thanks for sharing! Prize (your first collaboration I heard) was really informative and world-shaping for me. It's really been a joy to move outward from there and hear your other collabs and solo works/other projects. Looking forward to hearing you at Big Ears!
Yeah! I should probably reach out to PPT and see if anyone else said anything. I'm in the Run, and I fear that most of Greenfield (the neighborhood I'm actually in) and Hazelwood (the closest area) might actually like the changes. I probably wouldn't care so much if 2nd Ave weren't a ped death trap!
"recording acoustic versions of the songs from your landmark album 21 years later" sounds like the worst possible creative idea. and yet, against all odds, these are somehow great!
Does this mean that you and Arto have new music in the works?? Or were you two guesting on someone else's?
I'm still young-ish and physically ok, so I can manage mostly. but the recent storm -- where sidewalks went unshoveled and the city decided that plowing my street once on Sunday morning and waiting 2-3 weeks for nature to do the rest -- was just one recent example of the necessity of that connection
really bummed that the new design takes my neighborhood from 2 buses w/ Oakland access to 0
It's already a ~1 mile walk for me to my bus stop -- after that, the remaining 1-2 MILES (not easy on foot due to inhospitable architecture) would take at least one transfer / ~50-80 min travel each way
once again thinking about the british crow www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB3r...
Yeah, I was thinking less about the rock hall component than general assessments of Grace (saw some posts that suggested it wasn't even that good??), but you're absolutely right that itas WILD some of those other acts weren't up first (esp the pixies?! Who I thought had to already be in?!)
Yeah...borrowing from @zachschonfeld.bsky.social's earlier point, I think I'm realizing I may have preserved Grace's status for myself by *not* engaging with any legacy material post-MWB (and that one, barely). For me, Grace wound up stored in amber and there wasn't the same cooling period for me
some of the discourse around Grace that's resulted from Buckley's inclusion has been revealing and unexpected...I honestly thought it was more universally beloved??
did i say i did?
yea, just subtly trying to gauge interest in my new money-making scheme, erg consultant to the stars
do any actors know how to use a rowing machine? any time there's a scene of someone using one, it's just the worst floppiest form imaginable

some journalist out there needs to ask andrew saville of coosa steel if he told the president he wanted to make out with him www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdiX...
i keep reading his framing, remembering the Israeli co-directed documentary No Other Land, and thinking "maybe 'working with an artist who happens to be from israel' isn't the heart of the problem here, dude"
damn gotta wonder whose cab he got into this time
the four panel anakin/padme meme. anakin is labeled "large us retailers", and in the first panel he says "tariffs were struck down by the supreme court." Padme smiles and asks, "so your prices will come down, right?" anakin stares as padme, staring back in the dawning realization that nothing will change, asks her question again.
I can see the family resemblance
