Yes it should. Setting up Mailgun includes making the right DNS changes. This is all assuming you have your own domain/s for email - it won't work for third party emails that you don't control.

Incoming email forwarded to you via Cloudflare free plan; outgoing email sent via Mailgun (also free for normal email volumes). Can still do all this in your Gmail client.
