Took some time this morning and finally watched The Voice of Hind Rajab, as devastating of a movie as I’ve ever seen, made all the worse by the fact that 160 girls in and around her age were murdered while at school in Iran last week. A truly broken world
When you realise that people like that are the “shepherds” of your faith, it’s pretty hard to maintain. Maybe it’s not the same everywhere but it’s sure as shit my experience with the church
I realised that a large proportion of Irish priests truly lack humility. They’re men who enjoy lecturing others and holding people’s hope in their hands to crush or validate as they see fit
The Ryan Report really did it (i was 14) but on a smaller scale, it was the priest of my father’s home parish. Two separate incidents:

Ultimately i feel like every resident of this island has a duty to upset one American tourist so much that they make a “woe is me” TikTok that everyone makes fun of
Normalize asking American tourists where they were on January 6th
The real question is would they cover the 8 episode Mussolini miniseries on main feed
