What part of the convention center is this picture? I’ve seen 1-2 others taken here. It looks so much less crowded than the giant TRB letters at the main entrance off Mt Vernon Pl.
Working in transportation safety, I know driving is the most dangerous thing I do every day. So why do I still get so anxious while flying? Safe travels home from #trbam, everyone!
Closing the loop here - I spent an extra $100 on a plane ticket that got in around 5pm instead of late at night, at which time I felt fully comfortable taking the metro. Thanks for everyone’s help here and on LinkedIn.

btw - thanks for your vote of confidence for safety around the convention center and on the metro back in November. I flew in earlier in the evening so it ended up not being an issue at all.

I'm excited for #TRBAM this year. For the first time in forever, I'm attending and *not* presenting! Instead, I get to learn from you all amazing colleagues and help shape the future of bicycle research through our committee meetings. And hey. as cold as it is, it's still warmer than Minneapolis!
#TRB #TRBAM friends, especially women/fem/nb folks - do you feel safe and comfortable taking the Metro or an Uber/Lyft from the airport to the convention center at night? I'm evaluating flight options and my anxiety around traveling at night is a hindrance 😅
