I feel this may be an argument some do not agree with but I usually pirate the game, play for an hour or two, and if I like it I buy it. The downside to this is if the game is huge you're downloading it twice.

Surgery was successful! Definitely in some pain but she will be better without the rotten teeth.
We were able to put down 50% payment up front from GFM, and are on a payment plan for the next 3 months. Thank you to all who shared/donated. We're not out of the woods yet but it seems achievable now.
Squid's surgery is today. We're able to make a good chunk of the payment with what's been raised so far. I will be posting updated pictures when she's home from surgery and adding them to the GFM as well.
