And the next jump is supposed to be 8k? Absolute waste of pixels. Do none of these people know basic math?

4k was a mistake. A thoughtless jump from 1080p that did not line up with the prevailing progression from 720p. TVs should have gone to 1440p/QHD first. But that apparently didn't roll off the tongue so now we're stuck with as yet unreasonable hardware requirements and mediocre upscaling at best.
We used to call them "stiffy disks", or just "stiffies", to differentiate them from 5 1/4" floppies
We're looking for dev volunteers as part of our Sand Witch Circleβexperienced engineers who care about fast, efficient software and making the best of the Web as part of our mission to help online creative communities and fight censorship.

An image of a raven standing on a table, an ink pot sitting next to it half-full of dark ink. The raven looks to the left, though its body faces right. There is a light rainbow gradient as a background, and in the top left corner are these words: "To celebrate reaching 1k followers, we're hosting a creation share! No AI. Share this post. Label N S F W. Comment on others' creations. Use alt-text on all images."
Thank you so much for 1k! To celebrate, we're hosting a creation share! All creations count, but we ask for NO AI, and that all NSFW be labeled correctly. We will repost all creations today which fit the below specifications!
Thank you for putting your trust in us! We look forward to serving you.
An image on a sky blue background, with black ink drops and bubbles all across it. There are words in each of the bubbles and a title across the top which reads "Conjured Ink Development Road Map". In the first stage, which will be completed by December of 2025, there are five categories: customization, store, compliance, communication, and miscellaneous. Under customization: light mode/dark mode, embedded buy buttons, custom theme uploads, and custom domain support. Under store: single payment processor support, transaction history, cart management, custom products, and multi-currency support. Under compliance: geoblocking by IP adress (for NSFW). Under communication: multi language support, custom blog pages, and newsletters (external). Under miscellaneous: backup and restore data. (alt text continues in next post)
Exciting news, everyone! As Conjured Ink nears its first beta, we'd like to share with you our roadmap of updates for the next two quarters. These quality of life and system changes will help pave the way for what we hope to become: a home for your incredible works! Thank you!
Crackhead keyboard with pink ducky zero keycaps, and one random black right control key.
I found some keycaps. They're not the original keychrons, and I was still missing a ctrl key. I think it just adds to the whole hodge podge nature of it.
Now I need to remember where I put those keycaps...
The complete crackhead keyboard in all its glory (sans keycaps though)
The USB port of the crackhead keyboard. It's a hole very roughly cut out of the plastic and metal casing.
It has a blue capslock LED!
The crackhead keyboard is complete! I had to completely rewire the controller since it wasn't going to fit as it was. Finally managed to screw it all together after brutally shredding a hole for the USB port.
Text on a rainbow backdrop. To the right of the text is a graphic showing three stalls marked 'you', with arrows connecting them to the stylized logo of Conjured Ink. The text reads: We at Conjured Ink are working to provide a user-controlled "bazaar" that is censorship-resistant. That means for creatives, you'll be able to make customizable "market stalls" to share and sell your works. For buyers, you'll be able to support your favorite creators free from the stress of blanket bans.
Conjured Ink is a community of creatives, developers, and supporters building software, support structures, and curated documentation to make it easy for people who make things to be able to share it or sell it independently, without relying exclusively on large platforms.
Iβm sorry but let me unbury this lede: *the genAI industry is literally the financial engine that is powering the fascist regime in the United States*
I hadnβt even made this connection and now Iβm even more horrified by this tech than I have ever been.
Boosterism == fascism, literally
I've never _not_ seen border-box inherit, and none of the cases ever used content-box anywhere. I think I'll bring this up with my team.
On another note, do you think "stretch" size will even make border-box unnecessary?
At Conjured Ink, we believe in artistic freedom ποΈ and integrity of expression β

henlo, gud mornin :3 (even though there's not much of it left)
View transitions don't work with partial page loads, do they? Might have to make some sort of ajax-it transition to match
Gud mornin (she says the next afternoon)
who called it a Kubernetes penetration test and not a clusterfuck
Oh and i wired up a caps lock LED. Ignore the other crap on the breadboard, that's my other QMK experiment :P
Also tested FN keys: screen brightness, play/pause/next/prev, vol mute/up/down. All working!
QMK compiled and working! (I used the print screen button on it to take this screenshot) github.com/danini-the-p...
OK I skipped the breadboard and wired it directly to the pi. Gonna try compile QMK for it
Columns soldered! Now to hook it up to a breadboard and write some firmwares
Columns wired! Just need to solder. Probably do that tomorrow
Raspberry Pi pico. I've got a bunch of them. And QMK supports it
Mechanical keyboard board on a workbench, with rows of switches hand-wired and soldered to a wire, each with a diode
Just finished wiring all the rows of my keychron resurrection project.
a logo image that says - conjured ink. following the logo, the graphic says anti-censorship, pro-weird, seller shop software.
the same text as in the post is on this graphic, followed by a cartoon of a canadian witch girl flying on a hockeystick broom
Itch and Steam got a bunch of us thinking; we need a catalogue where creative (esp. NSFW & Queer) works are less vulnerable to censorship. A storefront we won't be delisted from. One giving us the autonomy to sell our stuff our way. So we're making Conjured Ink. You can join us. https://conjured.ink
I'd really love this as an actual pillow
