In this case, ear canals. (Would the ear canal go straight down..?) right: Either this will have two sets of ear canals or the animal ears would just be flesh appendages with no inside or hole... -- row3: left: Here’s how I do it: The outer sides of the ears hug the head before attaching to where the bottom of the human earlobe would. right: That way, the ear canal and whatever inner ear stuff will have almost the same placement as a human’s would. -- row 4: left: As for my harpy/feathered characters with ear tufts... right: I just have the feathers grow along the outer edges of the earlobe and extend outward.
