This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.
Ok! Iβm not here to argue or be lectured to. Was just confirming post: that the critics werenβt harsh enough. I was very much punished for my stance, professionally and financially, and Iβm just confirming that I didnβt go far enough. But if you know more than me, thatβs fine!
I remember being at an event in Dublin attached to WebSummit, where a lot of the big names were, and the vibes were more chilling than chill. Iβm just trying not to give myself more credit than I should! I was very scathing, and I took a lot of flak for it, but I wasnβt scathing enough for sure.
Oh yeah, I definitely wouldnβt have been defending folks, but I know in a lot of cases, I was operating on the assumption that most didnβt care about the damage they were doing. Power, fame, money, yes, but i only thought some wanted to destroy the world on purpose. Notβ¦most.
Sometimes I go back and read that thread when I need to be reminded of the joy in the world
In the 2018 election, one party put a leaflet through our door with βtime to go him and an airplane on it. Not sure if it was every mailbox with a foreign name, or random. People like that didnβt have quite the same mandate then, but they do now. euobserver.com/205537/how-t...
Weβre still holding our small anti-ICE vigils, which have become: walk to the US embassy, read the names of the dead, and sing together for a few minutes. But this work is needed everywhere. Sign the petition to stop making it even easier to do this in the EU action.wemove.eu/sign/2025-12...
I was pretty critical, and when I look back at stuff I wrote, some of it stands up, but a lot reads like they were naive or indifferent about their impact. I definitely suspected intention in some cases, but Iβd be lying if I tried to say I called this. Itβs so much worse.
I must try this abomination
Here is a man with more simple moral integrity & courage that the vast bulk of Dem electeds & pundits.
I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.
Thank you!! Iβll even get to be in the north and midlands, which is a change from the usual!
I also think itβs amazing that the same store sells both my favorite hummus and my favorite bras
Just so, so delicious. Whenever Iβm in the UK or Ireland, itβs pretty much the first thing I get π
I will! And ooh gosh lemon curd flavored everything, GIMME
Iβm going to the UK on Sunday, and you know what that means
M&S caramelized onion hummus and oatcakes EVERY DAY
Thank you so much!!!
Youβll meet some sharks! Theyβre just friend, not foe. Cables and sharks even share a common threat, in commercial fishing!
Called again and got through to humans in Schumer's and Gillibrand's office right now. Call your senators, friends. Do it today.
Unexpectedly have some availability! Let me know if youβd need content strategy, UCD coaching and training, or content design support, Iβd be happy to help if and where I can.
Every word of that sentence was a big surprise
WASHINGTON (AP) β Trump says he's replacing Homeland Security Secretary Noem with GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin.
Wait, the song worked? Noem is out?
The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. Theyβre tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.
Tell me a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true.
Amazing how all the current GOP group chats inevitably devolve into the worst Nazi aspects of 8chan, surely this isnβt a sign of what the party has morphed into
RIP Baudrillard you would've loved this episode of imperial decline

In just two months, Zohran Mamdani has:
-Launched the first stage of his universal childcare program
-Rolled Trump into releasing a detained Columbia student
-Used fair wages to get New Yorkers to clear streets and sidewalks during a blizzard
FYI: This is what leadership looks like.
