I usually don't post music I'm going to play on my radio show here, so as not to spoil the surprise, but this contemporary prog duo is absolutely wild, and you need to see them play in full costume. youtu.be/0Ssi-9wS1so #prog

My visits to Leeds over the last few years have been for the same reason.
The Lamb and Flag is great - think it still sells Leeds Brewery beer.
The Grove Inn is always worth a visit as the beer is always good. Same goes for the Cross Keys nearby on Water Lane.
Same here - in the late 80s and early 90s. The beer is very good in both pubs. Well kept and decent quality offering. So nice I even took a photo of my pint in the Vic.
Recommend popping into the Highland Laddie too if you’re in the area.
Nice to see these two places restored, open and thriving again in Leeds. The Victoria Family and Commercial Hotel and the Highland Laddie.

Here's a 10 minute treat for everyone
Thanks Bob. I love Waka/Jawaka and Grand Wazoo, as well as Hot Rats before it - so I’ll definitely be seeking out Imaginary Diseases.
Couple of years later, but have you seen the Cheaper than Cheep tv special film?

Nice. Very big treat. Thank you. Not heard this before.
Family football viewing today: Luka Modrić in a unique setting, the Wear-Tyne derby, followed by Leeds United at Brentford…Get out the compression socks and the big bottle of Valium.
These (this) popped up on the other place*.
Seven years ago, sometime around about now, Mike Stax of American print magazine Ugly Things gave Not In Front of the Children: Hidden Histories in Kids’ TV a very nice review. Thanks Mike.
* not THAT other place, the other other place.
Zappa and The Mothers doing their stuff in 1974 for an unaired tv special. I love this era.

Low winter sun and wild sea beneath craggy Cornish cliffs at Zennor.
Out at Zennor on a sunny day last week after all the stormy weather.

Why Smart People Still Get Spooked by Nothing
hagioptasia.wordpress.com/2025/11/24/w...
There were some horror stories from owners of previous models, including engines and gear boxes dropping out. But these people had solid brand loyalty to Rover cars and its previous incarnations. All said they’d buy from the company again.
On cue. Chester Cathedral.
Crewe Station could do with a large dollop of TLC.
Back at the dawn of time, I worked for a company doing telephone after sales support for Rover. I recall this model suffered terribly from leaky door and boot seals, with customers reporting water collecting in footwells and boot spaces. Trim falling off was also a big problem.
