I cannot stress enough how important it is that you recommend indie TTRPGs you like online. Someone on Reddit asked for a game rec, only like 3 out of 20 people said my game, but it made for a massive wave of visits to the Itch page. Word of mouth is real.

IIRC @goblincow.bsky.social has made an RPG about picking up litter that revolves around actually picking up litter

I was using a self hosted version of the original ghost for my website, but it was a little unreliable so despite the nice UI I moved to Hugo

I looked into it, but they are too expensive at my level.

That’s interesting. On the one hand I think fair pricing of PDFs to reflect the work that goes into them it’s important. But once something is done, you are immune to increasing materials costs which must increase the cost of reprinting older material. It feels weird to increase PDF costs by 30%?

In a way it’s four different games!

I’ve run 4 one shots, one in each setting. The first two felt much richer in possibilities than the later two for my money, and had better linkages.

I’ve played this run as a typical superhero game and it was a very poor experience. However, running it with the focus on the teen angst rather than hero stuff was great.

Games work best when they know what they want to do, and this is a great example of that.

In preparing for the “Ice Age Cometh” apocalypse in my upcoming game, I was rewatching the film “The Day After Tomorrow”. Then I saw this in the news. Frankly I’d much rather play a game about the freezing of the northern hemisphere than live it. Can we pay attention to climate change again please?

I've heard something about them being happy to have extreme right-wingers on their platform and benefit from monetising them too, which is discouraging.

It's a shame because they've got a great combination of features and price

I think it reflects the marriage of an interesting scenario with mechanics that bring it to life that makes people want to talk about it and recommend it.

The most important part was depersonalising it though, so nobody felt 'got at' 😀
