I cannot stress enough how important it is that you recommend indie TTRPGs you like online. Someone on Reddit asked for a game rec, only like 3 out of 20 people said my game, but it made for a massive wave of visits to the Itch page. Word of mouth is real.

IIRC @goblincow.bsky.social has made an RPG about picking up litter that revolves around actually picking up litter

I was using a self hosted version of the original ghost for my website, but it was a little unreliable so despite the nice UI I moved to Hugo

Thatβs interesting. On the one hand I think fair pricing of PDFs to reflect the work that goes into them itβs important. But once something is done, you are immune to increasing materials costs which must increase the cost of reprinting older material. It feels weird to increase PDF costs by 30%?

Inner Circle
Yes-man your way to the top in a blackjack-driven dark comedy of ridiculous proposals, self-serving antics, and just⦠one⦠more⦠card.
One of the game frames in Inner Circle is Hells Kitchen, where you have to create more and more weird dishes to appease Rorden Gamsey, the head chef

In a way itβs four different games!
Iβve run 4 one shots, one in each setting. The first two felt much richer in possibilities than the later two for my money, and had better linkages.

Iβve played this run as a typical superhero game and it was a very poor experience. However, running it with the focus on the teen angst rather than hero stuff was great.
Games work best when they know what they want to do, and this is a great example of that.

a collection of many black and white RPG items like skulls, crates, chests, treasure, maps, idols and books.
illustration of a floating island with a giant tree, regular sized trees, giant mushrooms and a fey market. There's gnarled roots coming out of the bottom of the floating rock.
illustration of a single-room magic portion store with many shelves full of colourful potions. there are windows to different planes of existence (a night sky and a desert by day). There's a loft with a brewing desk, ingredients hanging on the walls and a cauldron in a hearth-fire. There are boxes and barrels stashed below a flight of stairs that goes to the loft.
black and white drawing of a strange ghost that is a skeleton torso with a lock hole on the chest, wearing a beaten cloak and a pile of books in the place of its head. it has a little flame floating above it.
Hi there, I'm a Brazilian illustrator working on TTRPGs.
I love some eerie, cozy, weird and mysterious stuff.
I do mostly maps, but also items and creatures.
I have a Patreon with lots of maps and stock art: www.patreon.com/tomeofsalvat...

Is a deep freeze coming?
The Atlantic ocean current that keeps northern Europe warm is in danger of collapsing. Compared with threats of war and disease, it is given relativel...
In preparing for the βIce Age Comethβ apocalypse in my upcoming game, I was rewatching the film βThe Day After Tomorrowβ. Then I saw this in the news. Frankly Iβd much rather play a game about the freezing of the northern hemisphere than live it. Can we pay attention to climate change again please?

I made Close Encounters as part of the first non-Kickstarter zine event a few years back. Inspired by my favorite Animorphs standalone, you are stranded on a planet that wants to eat you, and have to scavenge tech to feed it and built a ship off.
Remisince about your crew to relieve stress.

I've heard something about them being happy to have extreme right-wingers on their platform and benefit from monetising them too, which is discouraging.
It's a shame because they've got a great combination of features and price

I want to move away from Mailchimp for my occasional (quarterly?) newsletter for reasons.
It seems like the best options might be
a. Substack
b. Medium
c. Beehiiv
At the moment I subscribe to a number of RPG folks on Substack, but I wonder if folks have thoughts on pros and cons of each?

I think it reflects the marriage of an interesting scenario with mechanics that bring it to life that makes people want to talk about it and recommend it.
It's a really good game!

Escape the Apocalypse cover, with a cracked title font over a foggy blue post apocalyptic city, with abandoned cars and rubble everywhere.
Asking because I have no idea what the form is, but do you think there would be interest in playtesting a post-apocalyptic game that I'm working on right at the moment?

Streamlined it by just saying "I think there is a problem here" with a bit more details, and let the owner sort it out.
(unless it was something obvious like a variable typo that had crept in)
The most important part was depersonalising it though, so nobody felt 'got at' π
