Salavat Abylkalikov is a research fellow at the IOS and currently a Philipp Schwartz Fellow @humboldt-foundation.de at @uniregensburg.bsky.social. He is one of the few Russian demographers to speak publicly on the subject. For doing so, he is politically persecuted in Russia.
