That is a unanimous, adamant YES. The sooner the better.

Farage accused of U turn as he says UK should stay out of Iran war
Farage, leading, as usual, by watching which way the crowd is moving and running to the front.
First night in the new house we built in our garden, to downsize to, now the kids have left home. Feels good, but strange. Spent 36 years in the last one.
Well there’s a surprise 🙄
No shit.
Rand Paul: "As far as reasons for the war, there have been many different ones floated, but none have been very convincing... we were told their nuclear weapons were obliterated, and now we're told their nuclear weapons are just moments away from being a bomb. I don't think the arguments are valid."
Chris Murphy: "I Just came from a two hour, closed door classified briefing on the war. It just confirmed to me it's totally incoherent. We are not gonna be able to achieve any of our stated objectives ... this is a disaster of epic proportions, a 10 day debacle"
Schatz: We don’t know for sure, but the likely bombing of an elementary school with one of our Tomahawk missiles is not a one-off mistake. It is the result of a change in policy so that the United States has way looser rules of engagement — way more tolerance for civilian harm.
WAR will NOT make Pedophilia go away!

I like the way some countries have Crisis of Confidence procedures that automatically trigger a vote for new government. WE NEED THAT HERE! We'll never be safe from GOP majority in government.
Who would have guessed that the legal system in America was so fragile that a single crazy president could ignore the whole thing, from the Constitution right down to state laws?
Why does the Supreme Court and Congress let this demented moron act like the dictator of a banana republic?

Bear Peak with a dusting of snow.
I walked a little too far yesterday, but the view was fantastic.
A small male toad is on top of a larger female toad. The male toad is gripping the female toad using his front legs. The female toad has a look of deep resignation as if to say she couldn't give a fuck, as opposed to the male toad, who clearly is.
Awwww look. The lady toad is giving the man toad a piggy-back up our garden path tonight. He must be tired.

Part of a house and outbuidings painted in watercolour. I love the clock tower, the pantiled roofs and the sundial. I won't be able to visit easily again now that I have become a non-driver but I can paint in the grounds of my own Tudor manor house (wishful thinking!)
Watercolour of a garden and buildings in Comberton near Cambridge. The botanist owner of this Tudor manor house is included in the painting, sitting in a folding chair. I have painted here several times.

You can judge a family by the company it keeps.
#DIBLives Happy #InternationalDayofWomenJudges Judge Mella Carroll forged a path for women in Irish law: she was the first female chair of the Bar Council of Ireland and the first female High Court judge. Her rulings are regularly cited in judicial reviews. www.dib.ie/biography/ca...
A selection of birds feeding on the lakeside at Derwentwater in the Lake District. The far hills are covered in a dusting of snow. Blue skies and fluffy clouds dominate the skyline
A busy landscape but I couldn't resist spending time watching the mix of birds having some form of meeting and feeding frenzy on the edge of the lake at #Derwentwater in the #LakeDistrict on a January morning

@kaitlancollins.bsky.social: ‘"He wants to be helpful," President Trump says regarding his conversation with President Putin and Iran, despite reports that Russia was providing intel to Iran on US military targets.’
[helpful to whom?]
Under normal conditions this would be the end of the Trump presidency.

2003: Bush struts onto an aircraft carrier to declare "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq.
Reality check: the war lasted 8 more years.
4,400+ U.S. soldiers died.
2026: trump says the Iran war is “almost over.”
Must be nice to confuse a podium for a finish line while other people do the dying.
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.
