An analogy:
Reducing deaths per mile driven is like reducing cancer deaths among smokers. Laudable, but an incomplete strategy.
Public health leaders strive to *reducing smoking,* not just treating smokers with cancer.
We should apply the same logic to road safety.
Often when I see people thinking that AI is useful for documentation or ideation, it's really just them either:
A: Skipping a bunch of healthy ideation steps and instead going right to fleshing out toooons of detail on the first idea. Like, they'd want a 1-pager pitch and you gen'd a 30-pager

I'd bet this is true for many rich countries, and in a weaker form (comparing against the likely amount of fossil fuel crises between now and 2050) likely all of them.
If you worked on a game you should get a credit. That's where the conversation should end.

re: this thread, there are many things i dislike about AI, and one of them is a new type of overconfident poster who is certain artwork is ai and is super excited to call that out online when it actually isn’t ai at all. just a real lose-lose

Yes. Anthropic has made $5bn in its entire existence up until March. It also spent $10bn on compute. It's raised $60bn (with $30bn of that arriving Feb 12), which suggests other costs - or prepayments/deposits for compute are brutal

Love this experience by one of the basic income pilot participants in Wales. They got £1,290 a month after tax for two years (about $1,862/mo), and at first they planned to not get a job, but then after getting into the pilot, they changed their mind, because why not do more to get more money?

It's happened to me twice and now I'm constantly panicked at every job.
The last all hands meeting at my current job was to announce their first mass lay offs (16 people) in 10 years of business. So now I'm terrified of every upcoming meeting.

In the same way FFXIII and XV were necessary for the combat in Remake to be at the quality it was, between Rebirth and XV I'm excited for another take on a road trip game. Between the two games, they've got everything they need.
This post by the great @duckvalentine.bsky.social is actually a great example of "listen for users' issues, not their solutions".
The issue seems to be that users don't know the commitment your demo asks, but you're the one who can solve for that with full understanding of your game/demo/context.
