i do wonder if part of its "weirdness" is that its entire existence was to fuel matpat's midlife glowup
its origins seem a lot more personally driven than the others
style theory's problem is that a lot of the "theories" are just common topics of discussion across the internet so they actually dont provide anything unique
like it repackages stuff beauty gurus and fashion commentators already cover in more depth, experience, and frequency
if matpat's wrong about mario's size or whatever it doesnt matter bc the video's for fun
but if "what's the best approach to haircare" sucks the whole video becomes a waste of time
style theory annoys me bc theyll get solid concepts for videos and then conduct "research" with like a sample size of three so the conclusions arent even useful
