Final verdict on Resident Evil Requiem: A highly enjoyable blend of action and survival horror, both done absolutely fantastically throughout.
A few niggles with the storytelling and the muddled fanservice but as a game it's absolutely top-tier.
I'm thinking a solid 8.5-9/10 overall.

A charity shop I went into yesterday had 5 kids DVDs for Β£1.
I'd be scooping those up, if I had kids.
Saw a nice video on Instagram about a mum buying DVDs for her kids to watch and the comments were full of people asking why she wasn't buying 4K Blu Rays instead.
Imagine a 4 year old like "I'm sorry mother but the pixel resolution of Lilo and Stitch on DVD is simply too poor for me to enjoy!"

I'd be well up for that if we didn't already have a remake but the one we do have is pretty much perfect, and the fixed camera is a big part of it.
Don't want to be too harsh about this or anything but if you truly, genuinely think that Resident Evil 1, the game with the greatest remake ever made in any medium, needs another remake then you don't deserve to play horror games.

People don't want high-quality single player experiences these days, remember.
Trying not to go fuckin' insane seeing folk say the RE1 remake needs a remake.
