My pie-in-the-sky fantasy game would be like, a rhythm-based take on Devil May Cry or Dynasty Warriors (oh wait so basically Hi-Fi Rush), with visual novel elements between missions, and a management sim wrapper where you play as Bobby sending Huntr/x to different global touring spots
No movie has made me go "omg this would make such a good video game" more times than KPop Demon Hunters
Whatever production time and cost was "saved" by using AI for one of the most human-dependent disciplines in game making was actively obliterated by the act itself, overshadowing the hard work of every single other developer on the project and making this situation impossible to right. WHO KNEW.

I also just assumed they were straight horror games for the longest time but all of them have quite a bit of puzzle solving and exploration in them. The first two in particular (both have excellent remakes) feel more like puzzle adventure games with a horror aesthetic than horror games. I ❤️ them

I know there are some clamshell PC options out there but they're pretty bulky and (more importantly) real expensive. Honestly though I'm mostly just happy we have so many options these days. It's just that the better these things get the more my mind wanders to trying to find an "ideal"

My current dream gaming device is a Steam Deck but in a pocketable clamshell form factor. Love my deck but it's too big to lug around everywhere. Love my Retroid Pocket Flip 2 but the Android gaming ecosystem is extremely limiting in comparison to my Steam library. Just smush 'em together plz thx
