Ruby’s going to nod her head softly with her soon closing her eyes for a good few seconds before opening her eyes and soon glanced over to her dad.
“Can I ask you something? I’m just a little bit worried about Violet and I know I shouldn’t but I’m worried about her.”
“You don’t have to worry about her Odette. You don’t need to burden yourself with whatever shitty thing is going on with her or this family.”
Ruby’s going to run a hand through her hair a few times before taking a deep breath once again and squeezes her eyes shut to ease a headache she’s got.
“No. I don’t wanna worry them. They don’t need to have more dumped on them Odette. It’s fine I’m sure it will just pass on its own or whatever.”
Ruby’s going to just run a hand through her hair and is now laying down on the bed again and stares at the ceiling again.
Ruby’s going to groan and pull the covers over her head, clearly not wanting to move as she’s muttering a few words about it being too early and she doesn’t want to wake up.
But finally Ruby is peeking her head out of the blanket and glances over at him. “But it’s too early dad.”
Ruby’s going to nod her head softly but finds herself to soon shrug her shoulders after a minute since there still a small part of her that’s confused by everything.
“Do you think maybe we can help Violet? I just don’t want our parents to start worrying about her that’s all.”
Ruby’s going to shake her head softly to Odette’s question as she allows her hand to gently start tracing patterns against her shoulders but is also going to let out a sigh.
“No just couldn’t sleep at all last night. I think I’m just overthinking the whole shit that’s going on.”
Ruby is going to nod her head softly as she’s closing her eyes and begins to slowly fall asleep with her head resting against his chest.
Ruby would stay asleep the entire time and would wake up when the sunlight hits her face with her letting out a little groan of protest.
“I know and this is going to sound selfish but for some reason I wish it wasn’t my family you was trying to understand especially with my sister.”
Ruby is going to go quiet now as she’s clearing her throat but is trying to make sure she doesn’t say something she will regret.
Ruby would stay downstairs in the kitchen for a little bit longer, even trying to distract herself by getting Ebony when she cries to have a diaper change as she doesn’t want to wake up her parents.
By the time Ruby gets into bed, the sun is beginning to rise which means she’s not slept at all.
Ruby is going to nod her head softly to what Tommy is saying, leaning into his touch and is closing her eyes now as she’s growing a little bit tired.
“Can you stay here dad? I don’t want to be alone right now to be honest with you. But it’s okay if you don’t wanna stay here.”
“I’m sorry I have been so miserable for the last few days. It’s just been so much and I genuinely hate the idea that my family is going through stuff.”
Ruby is going to now run a hand through her hair whilst glancing over at Odette and squeezes her hand once more mostly to ground herself.
Ruby is going to nod her head softly as she’s going to just squeeze Odette’s hand and offers the smallest of smiles before finally standing up and heading to the kitchen.
She’s going to start making herself a cup of tea, something to calm her nerves as she’s taking a deep breath again.
“Dad please don’t do that cause I know that if you do then mom will be heartbroken and we can’t have that can we? Dad please just don’t do something dumb.”
Ruby is going to wipe her eyes now but is feeling a little bit better now as she’s leaning into her dad’s touch and yawns.
“Oh really and what exactly is the way you are going to help me relax? That’s if I don’t end up I don’t know passing out as soon as I come in cause rendering detail can be a lot sometimes.”
Ruby is going to smile softly at Odette now as she’s finished lacing up her boots and grabs her bag.
“Can you just stay. I don’t know it all just feels a little bit too much right now to be honest with you. I don’t quite know what’s going on to be honest with you. Like it changes all the time.”
Ruby is going to look at Odette now, a faint smile on her face as she’s carefully leaning into a hug.
“Oh good cause I don’t want to lose my sister dad no matter what happens. I don’t think I could handle the idea of my sister dying or something. It just wouldn’t feel right.”
Ruby’s going to curl up into Tommy’s arms now, a faint smile gracing her features as she does so whilst sighing softly.
“I have to go and do rendering detail. I’m still kinda in trouble for what happened with me and Violet sneaking off. But it’s okay I only have a few more days left of this.”
Ruby is going to smile at Odette now, placing a soft kiss against her forehead whilst smiling once again.
“I’m going to tell her anyways since I don’t want her to be so down in the dumps all the time. I mean I get it she went thought some shit but I know how much it messed her up but still.”
Ruby is going to look at Odette now, a frown on her facial features as she’s placing a kiss to her cheek now.
“No I wouldn’t like it. I would hate if she left! It’s not fair dad! Why does she have to go because everyone was so cruel to her? She didn’t do anything wrong!”
Ruby’s eyes are going to well up with tears now as she’s soon glancing down once again and wipes away a few that have fallen.
Ruby’s coming back into the room after a few minutes, a sigh leaving her lips as she’s opening up her closet so that she can grab what she needs whilst humming slightly to herself.
She needs to hurry up and get dressed since she’s still doing her rendering detail and soon slips out of the room.
“But she can hear everything we think, can just tell from the look on our faces what’s wrong and I think I hate that.“
Ruby’s going to pull her knees up to her chest and rests her chin against them. “And sometimes I wonder if it’s best my parents never took her in.”
Ruby is going to nod her head slightly, closing her eyes once again before opening them since she’s actually struggling to fully fall asleep after everything that happened.
“Dad? Is Violet going to stay with us? You two had a fight and now she’s just being different with us both…”
Ruby is asleep for the rest of the night with her head resting against the top of Odette’s chest and doesn’t seem to move at all for the rest of the evening.
That is until she wakes up the next morning having to use the bathroom so slowly unravels herself from out of the bed.
“Do you think so? I mean I really hate that she always feels so upset over something like this. I hate that everyone always treated her like shit whilst i got it better.”
Ruby is going to let out a faint sigh with her soon glancing down at the floor again and soon lifts her head up again.
Ruby’s going to open her eyes almost immediately when Tommy placed her down into bed and is now going to look at him whilst sniffling ever so slightly.
“Dad can you stay please? Just for a good few minutes? I-I don’t want to be alone right now to be honest with you.”
“I don’t want a massage. I don’t really think I can concentrate on a movie or playing a game. Maybe I should just go to sleep. Might feel better if I do that.”
Ruby’s going to let out a soft sigh as she’s now laying down on the bed and looks up at the ceiling again.
“I don’t want to avoid him. It’s bad enough Violet’s just pulling herself back more and more. I mean I don’t even know if she even wants to be apart of the family anymore.”
Ruby’s going to let out another groan of frustration mostly because there really isn’t anything she can do to help.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that you was getting beaten. I’m so so sorry daddy.” Ruby’s voice is going to crack ever so slightly now as she’s just going to bury her head into his shoulder and starts to cry.
Ruby’s staying like that for a good few minutes before she stops as she’s fallen asleep.
“I don’t want to sleep right now to be honest with you. I feel like that be a bad idea ya know? Especially since my mind is going to go a little insane.”
Ruby is going to let out a small sigh, her hands on her lap now as she’s glancing down at the floor for a second and sighs again.
“But it just gets annoying you know. I mean I get it he’s my dad but still it’s just really annoying that it’s constant. But I also love him which is even more annoying.”
Ruby’s going to just shake her head ever so slightly and is now going to glance over at Odette once more.
