I never thought I'd see anything dumber than "female-presenting nipples," but "human-like knee orientation" from the new Subscribestar content policy fucking beats it.

Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now
they exclusively did market research on farmers and all the farmer children thought "wii 2" sounded too much like "wheat oo" so nintendo changed the name and did 0 additional market reserach
watching this exchange:
reporter: "is it true that the US bombed an elementary school?"
hegseth: "the only side that targets civilians is iran"
that is a sneaky sneaky lie of omission if the "we trusted chatgpt that this was not a school" thing is true
Just me posting on the bluski
Calvin and Hobbes panel: Calvin looks up at his dad, who is putting on a bike helmet and about to go on a ride Calvin's dad: "Sure! 'Cyclists have a right to the road, too, you noisy, polluting, inconsiderate maniacs! I hope gas goes up to eight bucks a gallon!'"
His plans are measured in centuries
lol
huh what? new bsky ceo? from vc? that likes ai? well that's concerning.
grow old and cast away the thoughts of chaste art
Screenshot from the video game Persona 4. In the halls of Yasogami High, the protagonist talks to a male student labeled "Stylish student". His dialogue window reads: "Hanging out with women, going on dates with them, that's fine. Killing them? Not so much."
happy international women's day
this guy types like he had frequent correspondence with epstein
nahhh dont even worry about it (said as i hurriedly sweep my stupid posts under assorted rugs)
real.
i do think it's increased my appreciation for some of the rougher edges of art, though. like "i messed up the perspective" ok sweet that rules. perfection is for the divine and the artificial. the flaws are human.
cute and wonderful things have become the most suspect. it feels like a natural, inevitable turn of events but also i dont want to support it with any engagement. bleh
(seeing a cute two-part image that tells a cute little story) aww i love that! wait... this is suspiciously cute.
(looking closer) slop marks.... yep, ai has been here.
Stephan Geering @stephangeering.bsky.social Challenge for those who are very confident that Claude isn't conscious: Explain how human consciousness works.
Mad funny to disable both quotes and replies here. Just delete it dude!
there's something funny about the us considering china a huge threat and then half the us economy being supported by chinese rooms
when every room is a chinese room, none of them are. or something.
"I think the LLM is conscious" makes a lot more sense when you realize a lot of people don't grasp the interiority of other people.
If you view other people as a series of inputs and utilities, it makes a lot of sense that you would see inert code awaiting your prompt as conscious.
like feeding dirt to a roomba
i think that'd be super anticlimactic in execution but i adore the construction of this bit. it's like throwing dirt on the carpet just so you have something to vacuum. improper hierarchy stuff
all unfortunate sacrifices in service of... something important, i'm sure?
maybe im just experiencing thoughts but idk
let's make a world where more people can be comfortable.
lawmakers are trying their best to avoid that world but idc. i want to see it. i'll say something nice to you. what law can stop that
its rare but every time i see a trans girl post her tits on main, i feel kinda proud of her. like, this pic is a souvenir of a long journey of self discovery and literally shaping your body into something you're happy to wear, enough so that you want to share? i love that.
it is so difficult to feel embarrassed in this day and age. i can be as cringe and flawed and vulnerable as i want online. i look at the type of people that inhabit twitter these days and know that my own inadequacies will never, ever compare to whatever they've got going on
tech CEO in 2026: My computer has anxiety.
venture capitalist in 2026: Here, have 200 billion more dollars.
child in 2006: My NeoPet is angry at me.
mom in 2006: No it isn't sweetie, go to bed.
mom to dad in 2006: We have an idiot boy. Our boy is a little idiot person. It's too late to fix him.

and yet, the archetype trashcan banana peel is one that has been trilaterally peeled, each pulpy tentacle radiating from the central stem. and who peels a banana like that? (me. i just had a banana)
banana peels are like the #1 classic thing to find in a trashcan. if you want to portray someone as a emerging from the trash, you just need give them an unidentifiable foodstain and a banana peel on their head.
those peels seems ever so eager to ensnare anyone that dares dive a dumpster
