Really hate lying awake in the middle of the night trying to decide if those loud noises I heard were gunshots or fireworks. π

I already had to create an Eggo budget for my son and heβs not even a teenager yet.
Wrecked. No cap.
The flow of heated air through a ventilation shaft. The squeaking brakes of a car as it approaches the end of an alley. Garage doors churning up as the hum of exhaust idles by.
Sound is so tied into our daily lives. Our routines.
Which is why I made this shitty thing: github.com/dacort/ai-ra...
A status update from status.claude.com indicating that "Users with scheduled tasks in Claude Cowork or Claude Code who are in a timezone that observed daylight saving time last night were affected by an infinite loop."
Turns out AI still hasn't learned to deal with daylight savings...
A high-quality marketing photo of a plush toy inspired by the Claude Code avatar, sitting on a wooden desk next to a laptop displaying code. The "stuffy" is a vibrant coral-red color with a round, fuzzy body covered in numerous soft, conical fabric spikes that give it a playful, sea-urchin-like appearance. It has two simple, glossy black eyes and a small, friendly smile. The plush is holding a small, rolled-up paper scroll tied with a red ribbon that reads "AI CODING COMPANION." The background is a brightly lit, modern home office with a blurred bookshelf and a small potted succulent. In the bottom right corner, the Anthropic logo is visible.
I need this for my desk.
December 2025 through February 2026 was the 2nd warmest winter on record for the Contiguous U.S. according to Prism climate data. The widespread record to near record warmth in the west easily outweighed the cool temps in the east. π₯π₯π₯
A screenshot of the text: Ha, yeah. The "I just want to run Home Assistant" starter pack: - 5 control plane pods (the price of admission) - 4 Fleet pods (so you can GitOps the 1 app) - 1 local-path-provisioner (so HA can save files) - 1 Tailscale operator + 1 proxy pod (so you can reach it) - 1 ExternalDNS pod (so it has a nice name) - 1 Home Assistant pod (the actual thing you wanted) 13 pods of infrastructure, 1 pod of value. That's the k8s tax. The good news is the overhead is basically flat β adding the next 10 apps costs ~1 pod each (plus a TS proxy if you expose them). The bad news is you could've done this with docker run and a Tailscale sidecar in about 5 minutes. But hey, now you have GitOps.
Claude over here roasting me on my HA/Tailscale/K8s setup.
To be fair...it's warranted.
Minecraft and steamdeck go together like peanut butter and mayo.
I used to use some custom launcher in the past (for bedrock), but they started encrypting portions of the build so it stopped working.
I wonder if Laser Tag could make a comebackβ¦
Apparently since the late 90βs? π€―

Went skiing todayβ¦last time I did this skis had pointy tips and nobody wore helmets. #old

Yes, I do realize itβs not quite an either/or situation. π
Burn tokens or watch Predator β¦ pretty tough Friday night.
Also me: installs Kubernetes. π«
Me: Spends months setting up an ansible project I can use to keep multiple home labs in sync and up-to-date.
Also me: Only runs Home Assistant.
(And Tailscale, of course)
Iβm a patient man. Also havenβt been able to justify it since all Iβm doing (for personal stuff) is random little tools for fun. π

Debating up'ing my Claude subscription this weekend and going full on high school hackathon.
(yes, I was a nerd...am...)
A screenshot of a Claude Code status line showing the 5 hour limit at 97% usage with 14 minutes left until it resets.
Definitely not me waiting for my limit to reset.
Screenshot of a simple web UI with a search box and results. The search box contains "claude" and there are 3 UI pills underneath labeled "bluesky", "github", and "reddit". Below that are search results from my saved content.
Also, luckily have an old app so I can make my simple "brain" project this evening that aggregates my likes, stars, and saves across different platforms.
TIL that skunk spray can often smell like burning rubber or electrical fire.
Cue me freaking out about anything and everything around the house. π€¦ββοΈ
Every time I think I want to build on somebody else's platform, I'm reminded it's somebody else's platform.

Screenshot from (an old and busted version of) k9s of running kube-system pods in a kubernetes cluster.
That was actually pretty easy with Talos Linux...
Send help. I'm about to setup a kubernetes homelab. π±
I wonder when the first "60 minutes" with an AI agent will be?
Localstack, MinIO, what's next?
Open source is changing, y'all. Welcome to AI source.
Related, installing github.com/qwibitai/nan... this weekend.
> I am no longer needed for the actual technical work of my job. I describe what I want built, in plain English, and it just... appears.
