I really, REALLY wish we could get beyond the misunderstanding that music education = extra-curricular instrumental provision. Music is a statutory subject of the National Curriculum, and the heart of music education is inclusive classroom music lessons, not optional instrumental provision.

I recently spoke with our inaugural MBK Alliance Ambassadors – a group of talented, inspiring young leaders from across the country who are working to give back to their communities. I’m looking forward to following their progress and having them back as alumni to share what they’ve learned.
