i would love to stop seeing people here argue that itβs not antisemitic to kill random jews in america as retaliation for israeli policy. if people would stop doing that, that would be super cool imo. not being a bigoted sociopath on main β what a concept!

Four images. Sam Altman, Peter Thiel, David Ellison, Elon Musk. They all look disheveled, sweaty. Musk has a black eye and is staring into space
Congrats! We created a system that concentrates power in the hands of evil weirdos who you wouldnβt even buy drugs from.
What if every time someone says βfor all of us, not just billionairesβ they instead said βfor all of us, except for billionaires. They canβt play with us.β
Also, ban billionaires and heavily regulate AI.
calling it now. we're officially in bane posting conditions.
Founders don't waste time with "maybe this hasn't been tried because it's obviously a bad idea," they go straight for "I came up with a genius solution no one else thought of because I am special and all my thoughts are prophecies"
Her politics aren't confused, she's just falling down the far right rabbit hole. It's very frustrating to me that this is always framed only around antisemitism: this is about a successful far right recruitment campaign using a progressive sore point (Israel).
This matters if we ant to stop it.
No YOU file articles of impeachment
Looks like I have some plane reading tomorrow
The position βAmerican shuls are presumed valid targets unless they proactively disavow Israelβ is as wrong as βAmerican Muslims need to proactively disavow Islamist violence to be considered good, loyal Americans.β Both are racist, and both are wrong.
Insane volume of disinfo right now.
Historically thereβs been very little space between βJews are tolerated by societyβ and βJews are subject to murder, either ad hoc (pogroms, eg) or more organized.β Itβs not much of a continuum.
So I think the way you characterize it here is exactly right. It has a terminus of violence.
Worked for Rohm.
(Narrator: No)
Youβre the second person to recommend it recently. Appreciate that
Bah, if course Iβm extremely awkward by the standards of people younger than I am.
The good news is that much of what older people said when we were younger seems to be true. I do care less and less about embarrassing myself. And also that <spooky voice> this will all happen to you too one day.
Neither actually.
There are a million times in life when we make moral and ethical decisions, small and large. Usually weβre donβt even notice it.
Itβs a process of progressive filtration. You simply canβt reach the level of wealth and power these guys have if you arenβt willing to be horrible.
Every day! And itβs cool!
Itβs hard for us. We were societyβs favorite punching bag for so long. Itβs awesome to see zoomers doing kinda well and being brilliant and all that. Just jarring sometimes.
Itβs functionally a logistics-driven model. Bc β904 missilesβ doesnβt tell people what that that number means. How fast do we consume that type of missile, assuming different types of military action?
Yuuuup!
Yeah Iβm really tired of this
Has there ever been a single
documented instance of violence in the US directed at Zionism but not Jewish people? None that I know of.
They targeted a synagogue bc they wanted to murder Jews. The didnβt look at the monthly events calendar first.
Well speaking for myself, I love Berlin.
In none of these instances was the motivation found to be politically motivated in which the Jewish identity of the targets was incidental.
Violence against Jews in the past year has included:
- An anti-Jewish Christian fundamentalist in Mississippi committed arson
- A mentally unwell person had a personal dispute with Chabad in Brooklyn
- Shooting at Chabad beach even in Australia (attendees views on Zionism could not have been known)
βthere is no indication the attack was just because the people were Jewishβ
Someone rammed a synagogue and was ready to shoot people to death.

Says a lot about him that he's still on twitter :/
This is why we need clear red lines. This is why you canβt have Platner or whoever just casually giving interviews on right-wing conspiracy podcasts just because they are also anti-war. The cross-pollination isnβt *just* a way for you to try to win over their audience.
Yes, sure, anyone and everyone should speak out.
But you did explicitly connect these two things in your first comment, and the fact that youβd bring it up here at all speaks to the implicit connection.
The answer to βbad thing happenedβ should not be βwell did you eat your vegetables?β
Wow this is a really problematic view.
I have the same amount of influence over the Israeli government that you do.
Youβre blaming the hostages for not convincing the hostage taker that we donβt have the money for ransom.
