He did and it was a lovely sound.
"How are you feeling mon cΕur? Can I get you anything?"
He wanted to make sure she was comfortable and well cared for.

"Truth ma petite sorciΓ¨re." πβ€οΈ
Matthew's hands gently caressed Winnifred's stomach.
His lips attacked her neck with kisses.
"Are you? I'm glad you enjoy them."
All of his focus was on her.
Matthew was never too far away from his mate.
He'd needed to be close to her as much as possible.
He'd come up behind Winnifred and wrapped his arms around her waist with his hands resting on her stomach.
"I do. Kit was a friend a long time ago. I have all of his printed works in my library."
Matthew smiled warmly at Winnifred.
"Come live with me and be my love, And we will all the pleasures prove, That valleys, groves, hills, and fields, Woods, or steepy mountain yields."
Matthew followed close behind Winnifred.
His hand never strayed far from her back.
He was happy to watch her do anything as long as he could be near her.

Matthew chuckled as he deftly tossed the burnt crepe into the trash.
"Give me a few moments, and I shall join you forthwith, mon doux."
He had a few more crepes to cook and cover with cling wrap so they wouldn't be ruined while they were in the shower together.
Well, he was mostly dead. So his body ran much slower than a human's or a witch's.
He nodded.
Being near Winnifred was something Matthew preferred.
"I would love to ma petite sorcière."
Matthew resisted the temptation to lift Anastasia up and carry her to the bedroom.
He'd feed her first and then later they'd enjoy each other.
"On your next day off we can do nothing together."
He'd turn around again a moment later.
He had to scrap that particular crepe. It was burnt now.
Done.
Matthew is gone in the blink of an eye.
He'll return with a paint can full of blood.
He divested a criminal of their blood. They didn't need it anymore.
"Your blood mon cΕur."
"My day was ordinary. I simply existed. It was glorious."
Matthew murmured as he turned and pulled Anastasia close.
He kissed her forehead first and then each eye before moving on to her cheeks.
He finally settled upon her lips, meeting hers with his in a passionate embrace.
"You only need ask ma petite sorcière. I would bathe the world in blood for you."
Matthew didn't miss a beat as he smiled at the warmth of Anastasia on his back.
"I figured you'd be hungry after work mon cΕur.
So I'm making crepes with various fillings.
There's also coffee with all of your favourite add-ons."
Matthew smiled as he held out his arm to Persephone.
"I have a particularly fine red that I can share with you ma chère."

"Where do you see us living ma chère?
I want to give you and the baby the best home." πβ€οΈ
Matthew nodded and kissed Winnifred's neck again.
"That sounds perfect ma petite sorcière."
"I'm pleased that I'm the first scholar of my kind you've met."
He hoped his first impression on her was a good one.
"Do you like wine?"
Of course. He takes full responsibility for his part in things.

"I'm in the kitchen mon cΕur!"
Matthew called out to Anastasia.
The scent of coffee wafted out of the kitchen as well as the smell of crepes.
He is glad to help his love in any way he can. πβ€οΈ
"My apologies milady."
Matthew bowed his head before he stood up to his full 6 feet 2 inches.
He loved rattling off his full title.
"Matthew de Clairmont. I'm a professor and researcher of biochemistry at All Souls College at Oxford."
Her warmth drew Matthew in.
"I speak only the truth milady."
She smelled like an entire valley of flowers as well as general nature scents.
"I think our child will be perfect just like their mother."
Soft neck and shoulder kisses in the way she likes.
Matthew shook his head as a small smile touched his lips.
"I would have tried to meet one sooner if I knew they were as lovely as you ma chère."
He grasped her hand more gently than one would think possible before turning her hand so he could kiss the back of it.
