Eg, Malcolm Offord is rumoured to be plotting bid to take on Jackie Baillie in Dumbarton. That may result in the SNP getting that constituency seat. The SNP look set to get 8 constituency seats in the South. That’s a 9x divisor for their list vote. If they start with 30%, that gets reduced to 3.33%
All those wasted SNP List votes (resulting in zero List seats) could be used to have the Scottish Greens gain more List seats. Every extra Scottish Green List seat is one less unionist seat (and that will reduce the number of Reform MSPs). It also gets a super majority of Indy supporting MSPs
I need to point out again that in some areas both votes SNP is a waste of the list vote. I will be voting SNP 1 and Green 2 in my area to maximise my independence vote
