Maybe we should try the same old scene. Uneventful is very underrated. Posts regularly deleted.

I spend more sleepless nights than I should, involuntarily remembering these. I see your Rumpelstiltskin (no, sorry) and raise you 'chirry birry birry I'm a sailor'. Eventually tracked down to The Pearly Adriatic. Good luck!

Anyway, now to have a hot bath and let my braincells drift a bit. Hoping to have enough left to read after but we'll see.

V interesting afternoon on a cancer psychology service user panel. I even have homework! It's nice to feel I can give something back to the people who made such a big difference to me last year. Hopefully our input will mean more can benefit 🀞

TW: abuse

Lovely #Booksky, what books are there out there either fiction or memoir, examining domestic abuse, especially emotional/coercive, that you know about/admire?

Thanks πŸ™

You're ahead of us. There is no greener green than the first flush of hawthorn leaves. Gladdens the heart!

"I don't know why the person who looked after him before doesn't want to again." I periodically rewatch this when I need a good laugh.

Saw this on my TL, so excuse butting in but had to send good wishes too. Many happy, healthy returns x

I tend to get all my summer dresses at charity shops. For as often as I wear them, it's not worth paying full price. On our last holiday, all three were charity buys, including a Next linen one with pockets! My daughters are also huge charity shoppers.

OH asked if we should get a ticket and I said no and looking at the winning numbers I've just saved us Β£2.50. we've never won more than a fiver!

It's weird but once OH (not given to pranks) fooled me for a few seconds that we'd won and I went cold and sick. My first reaction was clearly to panic about all the decisions we'd have to make πŸ˜‚

It's huge around here (Lancashire, Reform led council). You are a voice crying in the wilderness if you don't think it is.

Same, Mike. It was good to see that story recently about the couple who won twice and basically just spent it on good causes.

Someone in the UK has won Β£181m on Euromillions and imagine the good you could do with that. I hope they will and not just think of "the lifestyle they can have" per the announcement.

Most people would, I think?

I had a Dyson for 4 years before I realized there was an upholstery attachment on its side.

I'm fine to dip in and out of radio programmes. I could probably do 12 minutes every day...but unlikely to manage it for four years! Brava!

Listening takes so long and it's so slow compared to reading!! My mind wanders. I then can't find where I was when my concentration lapsed and it all becomes so frustrating. I wish I liked audiobooks but they just don't work for my brain.

Keep seeing Project Hail Mary recommended on audiobook. It's available on Borrowbox but jeez, 16 hours. I do not have it in me to listen to 16 hours of anything.
