Two dark glasses filled with coffee. Foam art on top looks like hearts rising from a swirl.
Today calls for a coffee. Or two.
Sunrise behind black limbed trees. Clouds in fiery orange at top of the sky, mid sky splashed with blue and violet, the sun a yellow smear over far foothills.
We made it to Wednesday. Here, have a dang beautiful sunrise my hubby snapped a picture of the other day.
We're supposed to get rain and wind today, and I say, bring it on! I love stormy weather.

Have I mentioned I have a NEW book in a NEW series coming out this month? It's a fun, funny cozy mystery set in the magical little town of Ordinary, Oregon. books2read.com/u/mKj1X5
This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.
Close up of tiny blue four-petaled flowers with white and yellow centers surrounded by scalloped green leaves.
Happy Monday! Look at this adorable weed in my lawn. I think it's called Speedwell. I'm gonna keep it. :)
Do some research, the hundreds of UBI's have shown time and time again not only does it pay for itself but also it reduces petty crime, improves mental health, takes pressure away from health services and yes increases economic growth; why? Because poor people don't hoard their money, they spend it.
Meme: Shut the Fuck Up, Greg. Text: A couple and their child were looking over our Marvel characters plush at my work, right? And the dad turns to the little girl and asks, "Which Marvel character do you want?" His little girl, maybe 9 replies, "Mmm, I think I want Captain Marvel." Dad makes a face, and says, "How about you choose a real super hero and not a little princess?" Me and my coworkers are about to smack down on this man when his wife makes a FACE and says, "Honey, you get Captain Marvel." Then turns to her husband. "Shut the FUCK up, Greg." And that has become out new motto for dealing with misogynists at work. Shut the fuck up, Greg.
Hereβs my angry political rant for day: tax billionaires out of being billionaires, abolish ICE and DHS, and slash military spendingβput that money into Healthcare for all, free higher education, and and UBI.
Love it!! The red scarf in the wind, and Render's pose is so cool (also love his battle worn armor)
You know, we could just... feed people, house people, give people medical care. We really could.
Only a few greedy ghouls keep us from doing so.

Instead of spraying for mosquitos this summer, try the Mosquito Murder Bucket!
It's cheaper than paying a company and doesn't kill all of the beneficial insects in the area.

I think every country's government should provide the people with benefits & a base income, this way they have basic necessities covered. People will still work even with a UBI & they will be paying taxes, so that money should go back into investing in the community, not lining corporate pockets.

Yesssss!
I loved that show. Still quote it.
Honestly I gotta hand it to Trump. If someone had told me they had a plan to get 23% of the GOP to support abolishing ICE I would have called them a liar.
Any democrat who isn't all in on this is either deeply committed to cruelty or has the political instincts of a half-baked potato.
To clarify, this pic is of the neighbor's yard. So I *think* it's rosemary.
It looks like rosemary to me. My rosemary is still in shock from the last time I dug it up and lugged it to a new place in the yard. But bees LOVE rosemary, for sure!
This is boggling. (also the prez in 1997 was born in 1946)

Realizing I should include the main things you should do to support native bees/other insects
1) Plant native plants
2) Don't use pesticides, and tell your friends and neighbors to stop using pesticides
3) Leave fallen leaves in the winter
4) Leave dead stems over winter for overwintering critters
The top 1% in America now hoard $55.8 trillion β more than the G.D.P. of the United States and China combined.
