Mechanically, it was inspired by levels/level segments from other platformers that revolve around some large, invincible object chasing you. Think like, the giant boo chases in New Super Mario Bros
Thank you! As for the theming, this is in our city world so I was thinking of what mischief out protagonist could get up to out in the big city. Their creator is also a known hooligan, so the start of the level has them giving the player tips for evading the police.
