This year marks 1000 years since the foundation of the Abbey of Cava dei Tirreni (1025)! Holy Trinity at Cava was one of southern Italy’s most important Benedictine abbeys in the 11th–12th centuries and home of one of the largest libraries in the region. A millennium history deserves some 🎉

I certainly intend to do so…please keep up the great work!

Revolución Diamantina is a terrific recording! Gabriela Ortiz’s #music is wonderful. I love the use of percussion and the colors she gets from the #LAPhil!

“The Underground Railroad” by Colson Whitehead is astounding. In my view, it ranks as one the “Great American Novels”. An eye opening (for me), heartbreaking, astonishing, brilliantly written novel.
