Whenever I see somebody using AI images in a talk, publication, or social media, I immediately wonder what else they take shortcuts for.

N.B. government closes roads to clean up chemical spill in Fredericton | CBC News Roads in Fredericton have been closed or subject to lane reductions as the New Brunswick government cleans up a yellow substance that was spilled in the city's east end.

😱 There was a chemical spill on a road in New Brunswick that contained chromium (exact type not clarified). It sat there for two days before the road was closed. It spread chromium waste over 14 kilometres (9 miles) of road and hundreds of cars. #ChemSky #ChemChat

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Believing that half my fellow citizens have "bad" morality and ethics couldn't be a more foreign concept to me.

It's much easier to bridge divides and arrive at reasonable compromise when you start from the premise that *most* people are, in fact, acting in good faith.

Glad to see that reflected

The students I met in my courses in college are my best friends. They are my network. (One is my spouse.)

They made me successful. They helped me. They challenged me. They joked with me instead of getting work done.

They were the most valuable part of my education. I want that for my students too.

The early Rae-NDP government in Ontario lost one of it's first cabinet ministers to a scandal on telling the poor to buy the dented cans in the supermarket because they would be cheaper. One can only hope this asinine statement has similar consequences.

I can't be the only one who is made /uncomfortable/ by the way that razor clams burrow into sand, right?

The final moments of this video by Kate Crump on the Oregon coastline are sort of the crowning glory of horror. 😬

But how does this even work?
Let's talk about bivalve mobility (if we must).
