Enjoyed using @desmos.com to make this geometric distribution sampler for use in lower sixth #ALevelMaths #MathsToday.
Recursion very handy for defining the inverse cumulative distribution function!

So mesmerizing!
A screenshot of a Desmos graph that shows how a ray of light refracts and reflects within a water droplet to produce a rainbow
A screenshot of a desmos simulation that shows the path of a ray of light refracting through and reflecting off the back of a water droplet. Normal lines and angles are shown.
I had a productive day in #Desmos today. I also made a simulation of the refraction and internal reflection that causes rainbows. Enjoy, #EduSky and #MathSky ! #IteachPhysics

I was gifted a gorgeous origami sculpture of five intersecting tetrahedra. This inspired me to recreate it using Desmos.

I've been learning how to build Desmos activities for real analysis. This one helps build some intuition about the definition of continuity, and in turn it really helps motivate the search for a good threshold delta. www.desmos.com/calculator/e...

I was feeling a little sick today so I spent some time deriving a periodic natural (C2 continuous interpolating) cubic spline

Have some free time over the next couple weeks? You have less than a month to submit your work to the Desmos Art Contest! Head to desmos.com/art for more information, and be sure to hit submit before January 15th, 2026. #mathsky #iteachmath
Grades are in, so I've been playing in Desmos. Here's a dynamic transformation of a popular hexagon dissection into a rectangle. I've included parameters to control the shapes in the dissection. Can you make a square?

In the Desmos Geometry tool, a partial expression list displays a function defined as `C_ircle3pts(a,b,c)`, defined using functions for circle, intersection, and perpendicular.
These are such fun suggestions!
For #2, are you envisioning defining a function using the expression list that uses some Geometry objects as inputs, and assigning that function a button? For example, defining a function that could find a circle given through points: www.desmos.com/geometry/6f4...
