Having a great time sketching up what Barcelona's super blocks could look like for Chicago
I brought it home. I've got the single copy they own
My only other guess is it's a former employee who was upset that I turned them into the state inspector general for harassing me via text/phone calls. Will know soon enough...
This is unique to me. The only way I can even think this would happen is that I created a lot of work (which is protected by the FOIA) and distributed information CTA wasn't exactly happy with. I don't know if it is an employee, it could be exactly two other non-employees.
I'm so determined to figure out who stole my identity that I went to court and got myself subpoena privileges
Doing stuff like this to determine space count has turned me into a master of scraping websites
Surely I can find a way to relocate 38875 parking spots. Viz in case you wanted to see the distribution
get his ass
What did you see in the amendment you didn't like? www.congress.gov/amendment/11...
You probably know a CHIRP DJ or volunteer already. If you don't think you do, you do now because I am one.
NACTO has a lot of this info on its website but I find it interesting to see what is chosen to go to print
A library copy of the "Urban bikeway design guide" produced by the national association of City transportation officials, 3rd edition, in teal and white, sits on a white window sill
The library has everything pt. 21
What's a band you believe you discovered before they got popular (relative to you)? I think I was ahead of everyone on Mannequin Pussy (original EP enjoyer).
Great day to learn something new. Three years ago an employer cut my contract early after I completed 90% of the work but only got paid 33% of my wages. My contract had an arbitration clause (mistake by me to agree), but that doesnt preclude me (or you) from filing a complaint with IL Dept. of Labor
Typo. 7300 bedrooms/office space/things that qualify as bedrooms. Bedroom loss shows up in the permit details on the data set if you want to poke around. Had to hand calculate the number
That's what the 7300 number is. 7300 beds lost, not 7300 less units. A couple knocking down a wall has no value in this count.
I would care mostly because I've got one developer buying up all the lots and building $3.5M 6 beds. Creating pressure on other land owners who have SFH lots with MFH on them they can demo and turn a profit on
I'm sure it exists. I pulled my numbers from the deco version permits on the data portal which you could join via pin number on the assessors data. But you would want to account for method changes in the assessors set which has become a bit of a hot button issue this year.
It certainly is but I shouldn't need to tell you how hard it is to build 365 units in this city nor the amount of private funding needed to do it. My ward alone losing is 360 units in that period (way above average) is almost as much new housing as we've built in the past 5 years
What do you make of moving the Metra tracks west? At this time, not seeing another other thru running either
Should be a slam dunk to upzone parcels where multifamily is built on SFH lots to lock in existing density
I would not call 7300 lost units over an almost two-decade period rare. Extensive amount of two flat to SFH deconversions. bsky.app/profile/nikh...
A blocky partially lit neon sign Philadelphia Church sign with the below slogan "Jesus saves" extruding from the building. The lit portions read "ELPHIA CUCH." There are people begining to cross Clark Street. Several pedestrians walk under the sign.
A tall and skinnyβblue neon logo reads Simon's in yellow neon. A neon blue dolphin hangs off the sign with a yellow martini glass
Never waste a Friday
Friday is relative. Happy Friday.
Yet again, Enbridge will pay police to protect an oil pipeline from peaceful protesters via an escrow account - this time in Wisconsin. Did elected officials learn nothing from Line 3 in Minnesota?
@alleenbrown.bsky.social has the details for @grist.org:

Wish I had advice because I did not succeed in telling my employer I didn't want to work on a project for Chevron
That's good. Unfortunately I won't get to enjoy it either (work sunup to sundown). I do get to enjoy the thunderstorm on Tuesday tho
Call red
How was the weather today? I didn't get to enjoy any of it
