It’s more clear to me every day that the few valuable social functions of shame that provide equilibrium in community have been co-opted to keep us too busy hating ourselves to do anything else, including confidently reject tyranny.
I’ve been thinking about this more and more. Creating despite self doubt might actually be what it looks like to push back on all human creativity being slurped up and barfed back by AI in the blink of an eye. Too bad it can be so hard and we live in a such a shame infused and invested culture. 🫂

The truth is I’ve been afraid to embrace my full talent, because it’s never felt safe. I’m afraid of negative opinions, judgments, comparisons, humiliation. I have things I’ve started that I would like to complete & ideas I want to try. I want to get a page up where I share my modlist so I’m not feeling like I’m failing to credit all the time. Modders deserve credit, but my executive barriers to sharing are huge, need to reduce mental hurdles to share.
