I'm a boomer, grew up in the 60s and 70s, family of 4. Both of my parents had to work in the 50s and 60s, and mom did well into the 80s. I don't get the delusional fairy tale some folks believe about our generation. I was working a high school job that paid $3.25 an hour in 1976!
Boomers grew up in the 50s and 60s, most of us were too young to work until after 1965. It was our parents, the silent generation, that were working at that time. Both of my parents worked in the 50s and 60s. Single paycheck was not enough even then.
