Oh, now I going to have to try it... arrrgggggfff :-D
Me some friends ran a local BBS with it for a couple of years, Only needed the one PC for the whole thing, had 3 incomming lines setup, was excellent at multitasking at the time.
What #DOS game to play tonight?
π₯πDamn
I should try setting OS/2 up on my Cyrix Cx486DLC-40 again. The last time I tried it wouldnβt work, though it should. I ran OS/2 2.1 (and later Warp) on a very similar machine back in the day. Itβd be worth it for Solitaire alone, which was a much nicer implementation than the Windows 3 version.
It's classic #Windows gaming night tonight.

I had a question about making sounds on the Commodore PET and Mini PET, so I have updated one of my old blog posts:
blog.tynemouthsoftware.co.uk/2022/05/pet-...
This covers various ways to make music on the PET, as explained by someone with little understanding of proper musical terminology (sorry).
Ridiculous, Ernie would never let Bert file a copyright claim.
Iβm now thinking along the lines of a scramble or jump up onto boxes to reach the top. There could be different features, exploding boxes, sticky ones, etc. The water constantly rising, a bit like Rainbow Islands and similar games. Weβll see, at the moment itβs more of a tech demo than anything.
Stuffing around: Maybe boxes crashing into a #ZX81 sea.
A kinetic bouncing puzzle game, love it. Into the ideas box.
Wow, never seen that before, quite a cool idea for a game
Oh yeah, Tower Toppler, can see that :-)
Stuffing around: I game see a game in this #ZX81, but what game.
It's time for some ZX81
Just upgraded from the old #Flashforge Finder 2 to an Adventurer 5M. Both of these are arguably your 'base model' machines, separated by about 5 years, but the difference is frankly amazing.
Printed a Benchy. The quality is incredible, and the print speed is just wow by comparison to the Finder 2.
Happy New Year, Happy 2026
Made it to Dangerous in #Elite+. Do I get a free copy of Elite Dangerous with that? Probably. Iβll wait patiently for it in the mail.
very true; still for a networking device in my house it's rubbish.
This is everything wrong with hardware today. Iβm using a perfectly good computer β why do I need an app? Why???!!! #Enshittification
Happy xmas Jim.
Xmas Eve 2025 with #Elite+
