A good article clearing up one of my pet peeves--people thinking they know passive voice when they don't. Terrible that Strunk himself helped perpetuate the confusion.
Writing on the deck is really over for his year. After being spoiled by such a mild autumn, it is 28 degrees this morning with a high of 18 expected by the weekend. Brr. Time to cozy up to the fireplace!
