A little over a week ago I picked up a cold bug that has been brutal. Finally relented a bit today after 7 straight days of nasty symptoms.

Snowman with hat and scarf
Todayβs post-shoveling shenanigans
Really enjoyed that performance by Echo and the Bad Bunnymen.
Pffft. Cancelling a Ground Hog Day event due to snow is like cancelling an umbrella festival due to rain.
Heck, I made it in to my work tonight. Wimpy varmint.
Well feck. Sad day indeed.

I'm sorry, I can't do that Dave.

I think you know youβve hit full adulthood when youβre making dinner and become dejected when you find out your favourite spatula is in the dishwasher.
Very similar for me in Dartmouth. Very abnormal to have that amount of snow with zero drifting. Cleanup actually wasn't too bad
The deer that moved into the neighborhood in December made an appearance in my driveway last night.
I'm gutted and numb right now. Had to unexpectedly say goodbye to our beloved dog Maggie late last night. She was only with us for 5 of her 13 years but was deeply loved and is being missed terribly today.
Temperature has climbed to +0.1 C as of 6:18pm. Still light rain outside. Temperatures will continue to climb tonight but melting will be slow at first, especially on untreated surfaces. #nsstorm
Light freezing rain began about 15 min ago in Dartmouth. Temperature minus 2 #nsstorm
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas everyone! A special shout out to my fellow Mets and everyone else working over Christmas to help the rest of us have a better holiday. Cheers!
Fluffy 10 week old kitten on a rug
Met this wee kitten today. Iβm not a cat guy but this one almost swayed me
White Christmas update: There could be dusting of light snow on Xmas Day, especially for western half & central NS including Halifax, beginning near noon through to early evening. 2-5 cm likely #nsstorm
I see what you did there!
Merry Christmas to you too Boomer! Fine weather for travelling on Tuesday - nice ridge building in. Still a chance of a dusting of snow on Wed. for southwestern NS, but that's about it for now. Safe travels and Happy New Year too!
And on the plus side, winter solstice occurred at 11:03 this morning, so itβs all looking brighter from here on out #nsstorm
Unfortunately a green Christmas is becoming the new climate normal for much of Nova Scotia. For example, Prior to 1985, 68% of Xmases were white in Halifax; since 2000, that has dropped nearly in half, down to 36 %. Check other Canadian cities here #nsstorm /fin www.canada.ca/en/environme...
After some encouraging long range guidance the past few days, it is now looking very unlikely Halifax will see a repeat of a White Christmas this year. The system that *could* have brought us snow Xmas Eve is now tracking much too far south. #nsstorm 1/
Brilliantly lit Christmas tree with bright white lights and many ornaments
Happy to have a tree up this year after not doing so last year.
Congrats on completeing your Met degree! All the best on your future endeavours
Saw 3 deer together on my late afternoon walk around Oathill Lake today
What a difference a month (and some rain) makes. Same creek in Portobello/ Waverley one month ago and today
