Trump has questioned aides about Corey Lewandowski's role in DHS ad campaign, sources say The $220 million ad campaign was at the center of a pair of contentious congressional hearings last week that led in part to Trump’s decision to fire Kristi Noem as homeland security secretary.

Trump has peppered aides in recent days about whether longtime adviser Corey Lewandowski profited personally from the $220 million federal advertising campaign featuring Kristi Noem.

It really is the collapse of the traditional sovereign state model. Israel is claiming powers and privileges over security that negate an claims to coherent statehood for its neighbours while its enemies are increasingly orienting towards permanent sub-state status as a survival mechanism.

I really think Hesgeth believed Iran would get knocked out in the first round and there was no need to plan for everything that was obviously going to happen next, Israel knew better but kept that to itself, Trump was incurious and easy to persuade, and nobody in administration dared push back.

Hell yeah: make war political.

Trump, Hegseth, Rubio are all Republicans.

And one can use the Internet to find the billionaires and companies that gave money to their political campaigns.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yes.

ICE agents don't get to carve out a First Amendment exception for themselves.

How Trump and His Advisers Miscalculated Iran’s Response to War

The Federal Government has not
demonstrated a strong likelihood of success on the merits or “serious legal questions” coupled with a balance of hardships tipping decidedly in its favor. Any harm from the investigation- specific disqualification is abstract at best, whereas granting a stay would reinstate an official who acted without lawful authority -- a clear injury to the State Government. The public interest likewise favors ensuring that governmental power is exercised only by officials with lawful authority. Each factor, and all four taken together, weigh against granting a stay.

Another defeat for another unconstitutionally appointed Trump DOJ prosecutor:

Ex-Trump campaign lawyer John Sarcone will remain disqualified as U.S. Attorney for Albany, and his subpoenas to Letitia James' office will stay quashed.

He's not likely to succeed on appeal, a judge finds.

My home circuit holds that under recent Supreme Court precedents, states may lawfully refuse to provide gender-affirming care through Medicaid. This is very, very bad. In part because of endemic workplace discrimination, trans folks are almost 3x as likely to live in poverty.

"At the president's direction, the Department of Justice quickly amended this filing," said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Leavitt said the president had confidence in Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who were serving the department "honorably."
A Justice Department spokeswoman referred to the White House statement.
Before Trump's intervention, top department officials believed they had signoff from the White House Counsel's Office and Trump's top aides to drop the case. But Trump himself hadn't been told of the decision, the people said, and has a longstanding modus operandi in legal matters: never drop a case willingly. Many other White House aides have wanted the issue to go away for months.

Per WSJ’s new reporting, it appears that DOJ, White House Counsel’s Office, and “top aides” tried to stop defense of the law firm EOs without directly telling Trump?
