I HIGHLY recommend. It is not A24 "elevated" horror, and it's not Blumhouse popcorn. It definitely is in its own dreamy, artistic lane.

I try not to diss on Metallica, I mean they are the metal Beatles practically, and their top stuff is untouchable and timeless. But the ratio of me seeking out their tracks vs, say Carcass or even Destruction, is pretty uneven

No disrespect to people who aren't well listened or just really like the Big Four, but there is so much more. Even if you ignore the American coastal thrash, you have the Florida death metal scene, German thrash, the roots of European pagan metal, early doom and black progenitors, crossover...
On the topic of Spotify... the old music snob in me surfaces when I look at playlists and they are called "best of 80's and 90's thrash and death metal" and its a copy and paste of entire Metallica and Slayer albums.
To combat my annual SAD/holiday blues, I surround myself with metal. This year I made a playlist to share. If you Spotify, and are a metalhead, check it out and I am always open to track suggestions. Share to other warriors for the metal. I am still adding to it.
