Nintendo’s lawyers don’t lose. Hopefully Trump and his cronies aren’t secretly running any NES ROM sites or they’ll really hammer them.
I take it as they mean you seem like you're not a bro-y jerk? Like the opposite end of when politicians only realize women are people too after they have a daughter?
Sony Vaio P circa 2009
MacBook Neo announcement means I’ve seen multiple posts with the word “netbook” today and it reminded me of when a guy at work in 2009 brought in a Sony Vaio P. That thing was so tiny and cool and terrible.
How much does Touch ID cost that it’s cheap enough to roll in as part of a storage upgrade but expensive enough that they exclude it despite the fact that it muddies the marketing so awkwardly.
As a person who has watched 2.5 periods total of hockey in the last couple of years… feels like the other two Canadians could’ve hustled back on defense more and then would’ve been there to defend that pass and shot?
I’m freaking 45 and I have no idea what you’re talking about. Did you grow up on a plantation in the 1800s or something?
Woman in front of me waiting for a bunch of middle school one act plays that’s maybe 65 is complaining that kids these don’t know anything about sugar cane. And chewing sugar cane.
Like of all the things in the world today and useless about teens. Doesn’t chew sugar cane seems low on the list.
The Waldrep news today was just extra kick in the nuts.
Between this and Notepad++ updates being hijacked it’s a rough time to be a windows text editor named Notepad.
we need to talk about that Ring Super Bowl ad
Some Marvel and Star Wars in there so rare for me perfect day.

Ok, NOW I’m mad about what AI is doing to the world.
Took my teenager to see The Fellowship of the Ring 25th anniversary theater rerelease. Wonder what percentage of ticket sales go to people like her watching it for the first time?
Looks like alternative Switch joy cons are finally available. Nothing from Hori or Binbok/Doyoky yet but NYXI's Hyperion 3 look good and are up for pre-order for $127. Expensiv and not shipping till March but I ordered. nyxigame.com/products/nyx...

This week’s #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday was all Joseph Kosinski including first time watch of Only the Brave and F1. F1 maybe my least favorite of all these but I did still enjoy it and Kosinski def makes great middle age dad cinema.
Last four watched is Tron, Tron Legacy, Tron Next Day, and Tron Ares.
Missed last week’s #LastFourWatched where I marathoned the Tron series including the bonus short and wrapped up with Tron Ares. I _really_ enjoyed both the OG and Legacy way more than I remembered. And Ares exceeded expectations by being actually ok. @letterboxd.social
As a society, the absolute only thing we do “out of an abundance of caution” is pre cancel school because the weather might be bad over the weekend.
Image on an unlevel basketball rim in Spurs vs Rockets game.
Things going well in Spurs vs Rockets game. Looks like me hanging picture frames and putting 14 extra holes in the wall.
Second the Emily Wilson version recommendation. My oldest read and it loved it when she was 11 or 12. a.co/d/26y9hgA It def fostered her interests in the classics in general. And she read and liked her The Iliad as well.
Less than a month until it’s baseball season!!
Haven’t been playing enough to get good at it but I finally got a perfect Cinematrix score today thanks to it being a Christopher Nolan, Spielberg, Peter Jackson day.

2026 college football watching: rooting against Ole Miss because I figure with the coaching change they’re more likely to have some guys about to enter the portal Texas should be interested in. 🤷🏻♂️
I would be pro return to office and pro open office layout if this is what they looked like.
There’s incompetent, senile men running this country too you morons.
Letterboxd 'Brian's 2025 in Film' year-in-review graphic showing 388 films logged, 67 films reviewed, and 721 hours watched. Below, the most watched actor is Tom Cruise and the most watched director is Steven Spielberg.
My 2025 Letterboxd top actor and director are very mid 40s dad coded. letterboxd.com/bhrnd/year/2...
I’m going to spin this to saying I should stop seeking perfection and spending too much time overthinking things.
Because otherwise: Oof. 😆
