There was a period of time (around the early part of the Intel era) where "alt" got added to Option, before the option symbol got added. It was pretty short-lived though I think.

Since Twitter imploded, I pulled back from social media. I setup an account on Mastodon of course but have only used it as a sort of news source, read-only.
